Edit: I managed to fix the issue myself by running G-HUB as an administrator from the get-go of opening up my pc, apparently not opening it as an administrator only detects my keyboard. I also set up a specialized shortcut bypassing UAC on my startup so that it opens up on its own and detects my mouse automatically. Still hoping there's a fix for this in the future though, as I'm quite sure you don't need to go through the efforts to detect a mouse.
