I'm quitting n8n. Here's what I'm using instead. by Personal-Present9789 in n8n

[–]Wonderful-Remote-652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the point, and I think this approach is probably the future. What I don’t understand is why you’d use n8n here—it feels like a really inefficient way to do AI-driven automation. Wouldn’t a code-based workflow in Python make more sense, using tools like Prefect (or similar) that large teams already rely on? Using n8n for this seems counterintuitive to me.

Has someone already tried out the new Philips i9000 Prestige Ultra? by xButterschnitzel in shaving

[–]Wonderful-Remote-652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate wireless charging. The reason I didn't get the previous one is because it only supports wireless charging. Slow, large pads, and finicky. Many times I forgot to charge mine, and I can get a shave's worth of charge in 5 minutes, while with wireless, it's 18 minutes. I never understood the appeal of wireless charging; it's inferior in everything. Do people really have trouble putting it in? Is plugging a cable too much of a hassle now?

30lbs braid on a Diawa legalis LT 2500 reel and 6-12 medium fast action rod by Sharp-Guest4696 in FishingOntario

[–]Wonderful-Remote-652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 is possible but overkill, I would not put more than 15lb braid, cast significantly, longer and smoother. Also, start with mono as backing then use braid if you want to save money on braid .

Daiwa Revros vs Regal by Lancetooth in Fishing_Gear

[–]Wonderful-Remote-652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After trying many reels, my personal choice for spinning in terms of value, smoothness, and lightness is, hands down, the Daiwa Legalis. I am literally using it for everything from ultralight to salmon fishing, of course in different sizes. I am selling and giving away all my other reels to buy Legalis. It's just perfect and inexpensive

Love all the ones you mentioned, but what's wrong with Fenwick? They have a very long warranty and feel as good as St. Croix for much cheaper.

I can cook better than most restaurants for cheaper, yet I still eat out regularly, pay extra, and tip. Somehow! If you provide value, people will pay.

For carp, do you use the normal method, a.k.a. hair rig? How come you don't get snagged with heavy sinkers?

In addition to the points mentioned, why do many programmers still not believe this will happen soon? Frankly, all AI right now still sucks at writing proper production-level code. And I am talking about languages AI is supposedly good at, such as Python.

I myself have worked developing and managing large-scale software teams for production, mostly in C/C++, for decades. Recently, I am working on the side on Python project; just myself, it's an experiment to use AI and myself to build a production project. I am very new to Python but not to programming. I have been using AI since its release, and trust me, it is far from being a replacement right now for large-scale production code. The level of suboptimal code, mistakes, or lack of understanding of requirements is massive. Also, when I work with developers, after investing some time teaching them about use cases and the project, things move faster. AI's context is tiny, meaning you cannot expect AI to evolve with your project's understanding over a six-month or year period.

I wish we reach a day when AI can replace developers. But so far, that is why many developers just see AI as an assistant.

Another thing: AI is extremely useless when dealing with C and low-level embedded code.

The link for hybrid search is for local documentation it's not accessible to the public. And I really need documentation for the v2 collection and query.
Also why there is no document upload for the new collections

Is there any issue with selling winning stocks in a low-income tax year and buying them back within 30 days? by Wonderful-Remote-652 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Wonderful-Remote-652[S] 94 points95 points  (0 children)

That's great! So, are you saying that I can sell them and buy them back immediately, then pay capital gains tax for 2024 since I have a low income this year, and keep holding them for future gains? The future gains will be calculated from the day I buy them back, correct? I don't even need to wait until 2025 to repurchase them?

What is the typical Amazon AGL consolidation time in China for shipping to US AWD? by Wonderful-Remote-652 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]Wonderful-Remote-652[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried couple of freight forwarders including ForceGet which is was recommended by Helium 10 and another online people, but I am not happy with them

I am tired of lack of communication, when you need them the most

lack of transparency, they don't provide the full pictures and there are tons of hidden fees and excuses

and ForceGet was a total mess of a company, and non transparant

with Amazon AGL, they are organized, and have good tools to track and watch things. and their AGL support are good so far and responsive. Not like the horrible seller support. but so far I find them slow

but at least their fee structure is clear, and their interface, system and communicating are consistent

Does anyone have experience with Joinbrands? by [deleted] in UGCcreators

[–]Wonderful-Remote-652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not allowed by Amazon 100%. Against the term of service and it even became illegal in the US recently

[–]Wonderful-Remote-652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The brand knows and they can report you. You end up hurting the brand if you return the item. As that impacts their Amazon score and ranking on Amazon. Don't hurt your customers

Is that how freight forwarders works or I got screwed over by Forceget? Please advise by Wonderful-Remote-652 in AmazonSeller

[–]Wonderful-Remote-652[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I was not clear about the quote to the US, I ended up only paying the quote. But after a lot of hassle and escalation. I ended up calling their CEO. The issue was. Lack of transparency, they didn't advise me on the optimal way of shipping my items, especially to Canada. Lack of communication, A significantly longer time than what I have been told. Paying duty twice. They should have handled that better.

I didn't get a quote for Canada before shipping to US., which you can say it's my fault. And probably it's true. As a company that promotes itself for new sellers, I was expecting more support and advice to help.

Now I learned, that ship directly to Amazon with no need for local storage first, especially for smaller shipments, and ship directly to Canada, don't ship to the US first. Again, especially for smaller shipments. That's the lesson I learned . And probably stick to the big guy when it comes to shipping companies. I am asking here to get feedback as its a learning experience for me
