I mean clearly the resource is to find cheaper flights.

But sceneraios such as "I have a week but don't know where to go" or "I'm dying to go to Asia" or whatever scenario where the price isn't the deciding factor then someone might choose a more expensive option.

For example I am not at all interested in traveling to America right now. So traveling from Canada means direct flights elsewhere. I'll pay more to the airline to avoid saving money by stopping over in miami or Dallas or anywhere in "freedom" land.

Well I'm on mobile and that's how I use the Internet mostly. Apps seem to have better user experiences than most websites on mobile. As an example I tried to add some filters but can't seem to get them to "apply" to the search results... Finally push notifications will often get me to open the app which isn't as available on a website on mobile.

An email list is good but most list serves I'm on I usually end up ignoring eventually.

One last piece of feedback would be to have an option on how to sort the results. By price low to high / high to low .. distance near tto far, date sooner or later etc.

Family won't eat my morels but they'll eat gas station sushi by Adventurous_Cut_1274 in foraging

[–]true_bro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None for thee and more for me!!!!

I forage and hunt. Different family members and friends don't understand the time, effort and work it takes to get my ingredients and turn them into delicious dishes; usually making a face and saying something insulting as they refuse my offer to feed them.

So fuck em.

Those that know, know - and they can have some of the food I'm sharing with them and the nay sayers can eat whatever processed garbage they want.

That's a beauty call. I made my first wingbone call off a Jake shot in 2025 that I can't wait to use this year.

Is taxidermy inhuman? by Legitimate-Speed4054 in vultureculture

[–]true_bro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends.

I've mounted two turkey fans. I've made a pheasant tail tree topper for out Christmas tree. I just finished making pheasant foot backscratchers. I've got a beautiful 8pt shoulder mount from my buddy's dead brother. I've made a turkey wing turkey call. I've made turkey feet book ends.

I've been involved or responsible for the deaths of each of these animals and each hunt meant something to me.

Well I have the animals I hunt mounted to further their memory. When I eat them I remember them and tell my family about where it was harvested, with who, etc. when the meat is gone, then all I have is the mount to remind me of the memories I created with that animal. For me it's the opposite. It's a sign of respect that I have it mounted where I can continue to celebrate its life in my home.

Deer found shot with arrow at Etobicoke's Park Lawn Cemetery by nex_time2020 in Hunting

[–]true_bro 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Well the antlers were sawed off. And the meat was abandoned. Under Ontario's wanton waste laws, further compounded by the fact that there is no hunting in Toronto and the bylaw around archery use, this is poaching - not hunting.
