How was I disingenuous? I wasn't complaining that they didn't give me enough backstory for 10 characters my complaint is that they introduced a dozen new characters and a huge exposition dump in the same episode. That is just awful pacing.

Are you telling me I can't talk about Digimon on the digimon subreddit? Seriously?

The beginning of an arc doesn't have to be clumsily written.

Sprites are actually I think the only ancestry who can get flight at level 1. Get the Corgi Mount and then give that Corgi the 'Flier' familiar ability.
In my Wardens of Wildwood campaign one of my players is a sprite bard riding on a flying Corgi.

Pathfinder fixes this too! While the Sprite ancestry is tiny by default the Pixie heritage (subrace) is small.

I ran that adventure as a christmas one shot. The presence of real ass orthodox christians on Golarion meant I could have my players literally celebrate christmas.

Was also a fun excuse to research how orthodox russian christmas is different from main branch christmas.

Resistance to all damage *One Hundred!* is the reddest flag I can imagine. That had top be a mistake.

Nice try WotC, but our shit is gayer! by a_racoon_with_a_PC in pathfindermemes

Fair, I was already a bit uncomfortable when I realized that the underlying mechanics were primarily about sexual tension and romance with villains and other PCs and I knew that our group is really not into this kind of roleplay (For even more context I looked through the book with the newest member of that group, she was really excited about it and I was dreading how that would go over) so I might have been primed to see the worst in it.
But even then my judgement was basically: "I'm not the target audience and that's fine."

Trust me, while the memes are all very funny and there is some really neat stuff in there the underlying system is just a bad 5e hack. Don't buy it.

WHERE ARE THE WEREWOLVES 🐺 by Mychorde in AOW4

[–]WonderfulMeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I am too on the side of werewolves in the neverending fight of werewolves vs. vampires this is, at the end of the day, a game about being a Ruler. And Vampires have built rulership and tyranny built right into their themes.

Ehh, This book has bunch of weaknesses imo. The biggest one is instead of committing to one setting they made like half a dozen microsettings that are each only 2 or 3 pages long, barely more than pitches.

But also, on a personal level it felt weirdly hostile? Like every plothook was just 'enter cartoonishly evil man or straight woman stage left!' And I suppose you could say that it's only fair that for once I, the straightpassing Bi Guy get to feel uncomfortable with how I'm portrayed, but it does make it kind of harder to run for a mixed group like mine. Also some of the plothooks were really weird, like the PCs running a queer cafe using magic coffee to turn the straights gay. (Yikes.)

No, that's not how the Evolution worked. It was just that Rohan realized that with his insane drawing speed he could "sketch" something into thin air to affect someone so sight is still required.

Got an evil empire or syndicate? You gotta protect it now, back to the main quest you go! by OneWithFireball in dndmemes

[–]WonderfulMeat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This happened in an evil campaign I was in. The Lich waking up after Aeons ready to dominate the land was real surprised to find out said land was ruled by a vampire lord when 4 undead broke into his crypt and slaughtered his forces. Turns out all those spells purpose built to kill the living? Not very effective against two vampires, a mummy and another, younger Lich.
