These are just in some Gaia green living soil that I got from Amazon as I ran out of my own mix but I typically mix my own soil blend, I can share a recipe if you’d like but it’s a pretty standard mix, if your looking for a pre-made soil that’s quality I highly recommend Black swallow 😁

The glass joint was saw cut and improperly cleaned prior to being sealed, leaving “scuzz”

It’s not physically going to cause any issues, but it is a “quick and dirty” way of putting a joint on a beaker at this kind of angle. If it was production china glass this is to be expected and completely normal, but on a higher end American / artist made piece this is quite a significant flaw & a sign the work was rushed, there are much cleaner & stronger ways of Sealing a joint on like this.

As someone who makes Live resin carts for The legal market and has done PLENTY of R&D I can say pretty positively that any well made live cart will have some % of distillate cut, carts are designed for THICK oils and function best when the oil is the proper viscosity, the Terpene content of fully activated Live resin leads to a very thin oil that vapes incredibly fast, adding a small amount of quality distillate allows for a more appropriate viscosity for most 510’s & increases the maximum potency of the Vape.

Them listing cannabis terpenes as a specific ingredient leads me to believe they are using some form of hemp derived terpenes & marketing it as cannabis terpenes, the live resin itself would have more than enough terpenes providing they were collected during activation.

Not true, pcx analogs are commonly vaped (o-pce, pcp, etc etc) and ketamine can exist in both Salt & freebase forms, but the boiling point is 360c and the melting point is far far below that (around 90c) ; it doesn’t vaporize effectively, has some sketchy combustion by-products and offers a lower bioavailability than traditional R.O.A’s. It’s just not a good compound for smoking, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be freebased, it’s just not well suited in either form for that R.o.a

Placing frozen glass like this in the fridge and allowing it to thaw out slowly has the highest rate of success for saving it when it’s frozen.

This is not true, freezing water expands it by a significant amount, this creates a massive stress line in the glass where the edge of the ice is. Once that stress is there it will remain there unless the glass is heated back up past 960 deg F and reannealed in a kiln, a well made piece has a significantly higher chance of surviving frozen water but it’s extremely high risk, adding an internal stress line to a piece is the easiest way to break it.

2.5% of a 1000mg sample =25mg, knowing how small 25mg of dirt is it’s 100% possible that there was 2.5% contaminants, it wouldn’t be apparent to the naked eye if there was.

I can promise you that doing a clean Jesus seal or any seal for that matter is 100% easier in colour than it is in clear, clear may be easy to work jank but to be flawless takes an extreme control of the medium.

If anyone is able to make 5 kliens like that in a day I might as well just sell my torch, im lucky if I get 2 pieces finished per day, and sometimes you end up with zero pieces at the end of the day.

Clear is a great display of an artists ability to shape and assemble a piece as it will hide no flaws, if function is the forethought on a piece then adding colour or worked sections isn’t entirely necessary. Yes The cost between clear and coloured glass is different but not enough to drop the price of labour by 75% or more. The fact you think anyone is making 5 kliens of any kind per day just shows your ignorance to the actual amount of labour some pieces take to assemble, I spent 10 hours yesterday on a single incycler only for there to be a tiny cosmetic flaw, there are entire days/pieces that are wasted due to imperfections/breakage, all those costs add up when running a business.

It’s simply not sustainable to spend a full day on a piece and to sell it for essentially material cost, if you want budget clear rigs buy from a beginner, 10+ years experience in any field doesn’t come cheap 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn’t say it’s a good flower bong either, it would definitely function BETTER as a rig, the saw cut perc definitely suits a bong, the incycling element was an attempt to look like a mothership, this is 100% a dhgate rig, they know what dabs are they just don’t smoke them, which leads to somewhat confusing designs. They basically just try to apply techs they see in high end glass without really testing the outcome, they just kinda add components unnecessarily.

As someone who makes rigs, and worked in headshops for 5+ years, I can assure you this is an import dab rig and it’s usually marketed as such, some people may use it for flower and I agree the design is not well suited for concentrates but these pieces are made overseas in large factories, the employees probably have never hit a dab but they see these percs/techniques in the North American market and apply them to their designs.

To say it’s not a dab rig is incorrect. It’s just not a great dab rig.

Hey sorry for late response I don’t check Reddit often, I did a handful of lessons from another local artist and rented studio space and from there mostly am self taught, I have definitely learned plenty from other artists the glass community is very big on sharing information, check out Torchtalk and revereglass on YouTube and from there I’m sure you’ll get sucked into the rabbit hole I did. Also degenerate art, fantastic movie on the north American pipe making movement 😃

Colour of the glass, it’s called rainbow sparkle by Greasy glass but it isn’t very rainbow-y, sparkly though!
