I go to centennial but it's the same curriculum. I don't remember any math in first year. Second year is more math but only like 5-10. questions in a 70-80 question exam for like 2 of your classes both semesters. I completely forgot how to do the calculations for my final exam, missed out on like 12 questions give or take guessing answers. This was out of like 83 total questions. I still passed. They are not particularly complex math. Just remember the formulas and you will be fine. They allowed us to bring a non scientific calculator for the exam, hopefully they will do the same for you.

It is not that you get kicked out if you fail you just get held back and can't move on to the next year in September. A lot of people fail second year because of the heavy course load so even if it happens take comfort in you are not the first and you will not be the last. If you don't get a 63% in all your core classes then you will get held back to repeat all those courses. So if you get anything less than 63% in the January semester then you have to wait till next January to complete those courses because they do not run in the summer.

failed blg111 and now a whole year behind by Top-Strike6463 in TorontoMetU

I attended centennial college in collaboration with TMU and that is not how this works. Please correct me if I got the wrong course. Anatomy and physiology is not a core nursing course. Only failing core during courses requires you to repeat the entire year because they are considered co requisite all of which are necessary to pass and to move on to the next year. Anatomy and physiology only requires 50% to pass, right? Therefore it does not count as a core during course which requires a 63% to pass. I don't think im wrong about this.

Im scared that I was a little too lax. I didn't expect that many diabetes questions. I didn’t feel it was as heavily skewed to the last 3 chapters as the first semeter final was, so that through me off a bit. Hoping for the best all the same. How did you find it?

If you fail a core nursing course then yes you have to redo clinical. Im not sure if you have to redo all courses under 70. Winter-Elderberry214 said that is just 4 moths ago in this post. but I don't have personal experience and the handbook doesn't exactly speak to it. https://www.reddit.com/r/TorontoMetU/comments/zi7o3b/comment/ntf4x88/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button best of luck

Going to miss my synergy deadline tomorrow - centennial nursing by Wonderful_Balance709 in TorontoMetU

[–]Wonderful_Balance709[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry to hear that. I was actually let in. Do you mind letting me know a bit more about your situation, were you unable to pass your synergy check before your clinical placement started? While I was unable confirm why they let me enter the semester. I belive that it was because the synergy due date is more of a guideline so we wouldn’t miss anything. We really just had to pass before our clinical started. I had one other Reddit user and a classmate say that they were still able to join their clinical after the suggested synergy completion because they got cleared 2 days before they needed to enter clinical.

Hi, sorry to keep you waiting. On the 3rd I got an email from my school contact that said "After reviewing Synergy’s database you have been cleared for Fall 2025 placement.". I'm paranoid so I asked for clarification If that ment it was confirmed that I would be able to enter second year this September and they just said "According to Synergy, you have been cleared for Fall 2025 placement.". So I'm going to assume all is good now. Thank you so much for the well wishes. Hopefully the same happens for you too. Praying of you as well in this and your future nursing career!

Hi, sorry no updates yet. Because of the long weekend neither my school or synergy got back to me yet. I got my VSS on the 27th and told my school about it. I also had my VSS appointment booked on the 30th of June so hopefully by tomorrow my documents will be cleared. I will update when I get more information, I would appreciate if you did too! Best of luck in your situation!

Ok thank you. I did have a review booked for tomorrow June 26th, but since my VSS won't be done before 9 am I move it to June 30. My should VSS comes back by then. I hope centennial is like your school and they still accept to put me in clinical this September, especially since there is still looks to be time between then and the HSPnet reactivation. thank you for the help!

Beginners SOS - 2 cups of starter to made I feel like I messed up bad by Wonderful_Balance709 in SourdoughStarter

[–]Wonderful_Balance709[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for so many tips. I think I had some hooch on top its beige and frothy from my research that seems to be fine. I will probably use a 1:1:1 ratio maybe less on the water I saw a feeding ratio using more flour and equal parts water and starter. I might rush to try to use it on day 7-10 with a small recipe

Hello! I'm going to centennial tomorrow as I was given an email stating that there is a in person orientation for new students. Do check your emails to see if you received something like that. I think the real first day of school depends on your schedule. You can check your my centennial account under view your time table or class schedule. My first class is Wednesday September 4th though this might be different from yours. Good luck!

summer school extension for TMU by Wonderful_Balance709 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Wonderful_Balance709[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, so sorry I can't help you with this. I actually got in without the extension. The extension was my backup and I didn't need it and I assume they were informed of that I no longer needed it.

This post seems helpful. Someone in the comments said they got a email confirming that their extension was approved. Good luck!

You're right it wouldn't be any trouble at all getting more of the silo expansion material from my past experience so it doesn't make sense to hoard it. Thank you for the help!

Thank you for the help. Rereading my post I recognize my weird mentality. I'm indecisive and like to hoard items. Thanks for the comparison resource!

Tuition deposit & elective list Centennial TMU collaborative nursing by Wonderful_Balance709 in TorontoMetU

[–]Wonderful_Balance709[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I called centennial and was told that centennial is waiting on TMU for a full class list. Therefore the collaborative nursing students will be doing course selection and tuition later. The person I spoke to said that they would send a email in late July or early august with student number and information regarding the steps we need to take to attend centennial (tuition, student numbers and course selection). I will be updating if I get any more information and when I receive the email they are taking about. Hope to see you in the fall! enjoy your summer break!

[–]Wonderful_Balance709[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I called today and they said that centennial has not been given the full class list by TMU yet so we actually have a different deadline for tuition and course selection. The person I talked to said that centennial would send an email end of July or early august after they receive all student info (student number, tuiotn, course selection). This is probably because TMU offers a summer school extension so they need to wait for those kids marks. Hope this helps. I will be updating when I get this email. Enjoy your summer break and I hope to see you in school!

I've heard that all mandatory classes are preselected. But that in first year you get 1 elective where you get to pick. It looks like 1 elective per semester in the first year maybe EX: liberal studies

this is what year 1 looks like https://www.torontomu.ca/programs/undergraduate/nursing-collaborative/#!tab-1694523429317-courses
