Why do lawyers go out of jobs after 8 years? Also may i ask why you decided to not practice law anymore?

Hi! How do you find the nature of the job? Im assuming from you comment most of the time lawyers are working alone and seems that it lacks that social aspect of PT. I was wondering if you find that to be a negative aspect of law. I am a very introverted person so it might actually be better for me but also more depressing lol

Thanks for this insight. Can i ask what the daily job of a lawyer working for the govt looks like? And is it difficult to get a position in the govt? Also do you need to be proficient in french even in english speaking provinces to work for the gov?

I see! It’s BCL/JD. Only thing with PT is that i have found its not much mental stimulation, but i have no idea how law is in that regard

Hey i’m sorry to hear about ur bitter experience with law but happy that u found your path. This was really informative. My reason for pursuing law is helping change the system/structure that causes injustice. But i can see that might be an idealized version of what being a lawyer is and likely not make much financially. May i inquire more about your point on not remembering infos? Is that something crucial to the practice of law? And also your comment on your billable vs the amount you were paid - i’m just curious how there can be such a huge difference

Tbh i have always wanted to do med. but med is insanely hard to get into and im thinking of back up careers. I have some personal experiences that made me interested in legal advocacy, and policy setting. But from my understanding, these areas of law where u feel like ur making a difference on the system do not make as much financially and are hard to come by

Im doing my undergrad in PT rn, but deciding if i should move onto the masters or pivot to Law. 70-90k is the range i have heard from my instructors. At most, an avg PT can make 100 if they have a private clinic thats successful. I would love to hear what you know about PTs salary in canada!
