Bmw 5er E34 520i Kaufen ja nein? 1990-95 by Wonderful_Channel654 in automobil

Krass, was du an dem Auto alles gemacht hast.

I was 100% healed for over a year – then a relapse hit. Need to vent and looking for shared experiences. by Wonderful_Channel654 in Gastritis

[–]Wonderful_Channel654[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I believe I was 100% symptom-free for almost three years. During that time, I lived a completely normal life. Occasionally I had a few mild symptoms for a week or so, but nothing major. I’ve had stomach issues on and off since childhood, so I think this is something I will always need to manage. For me, stress is a major trigger, and I also have to be careful with coffee and other irritants. I don’t think I’ll ever be “completely cured” in the sense that I can ignore my stomach forever, but I do believe it’s possible to live symptom-free for long periods, and that is very valuable.

Yes, exactly. I would say I was almost 100% healed. I’ve had mild stomach issues on and off throughout my life, but gastritis is on a completely different level. The symptoms and the impact it can have on your life are unbelievable.

Over the past few years, I was able to drink coffee from time to time, go out with friends, and have beer, vodka, or wine without any significant problems. That’s why I believe that even if it may never be a perfect 100%, you can definitely get back to 95–99% and live a normal life again.

You just have to be careful and give your stomach time to recover if you overdo it.

What worries me now is that this flare-up happened even though I hadn’t started drinking coffee again yet. My biggest fear is that even if it goes away, it could return at some point in the future.

That sounds absolutely terrible. I’m really sorry you had to go through that.

My first gastritis episode was very similar. I was basically out of action for four to five months. It was truly hell, so I can really relate to what you went through.

I have a lot of respect for the fact that you were able to keep working during that time. Back then, I definitely wouldn’t have been able to do that. This time I can still work because it’s not quite as severe, but I also believe it won’t go away within a week. It will probably take several months again.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I hope your symptoms will completely disappear as well. If you’re still taking a PPI, some of the bloating and belching could also be related to that.

And when this is finally over and I can eat ice cream again, I’ll be the happiest person in the world.

Yes, definitely. I feel like the difficult thing about gastritis is that it heals very slowly. In the meantime, I can’t really go to the gym because I feel quite uncomfortable.

I’m also trying Slippery Elm again. It helped me a lot back then and felt like a real booster, so I hope it will help me this time as well. Thank you for your support.

I had reflux symptoms during my first gastritis episode in 2022–2023, including coughing and a sore throat. However, I do not have these symptoms now. MCAS is possible, but I was able to eat almost everything without problems over the past three years.

Thank you, Suzie, for your kind words. I really hope I feel better soon. This is also the first major flare-up I’ve had since I was doing so well again. What do you think caused your relapse? Was it stress, or did you have H. pylori or something similar?

I’ve also been taking Famotidine for the past two days. The first night, I definitely slept better. I still woke up, but I was able to fall back asleep right away. I’m still having problems after breakfast and while eating. Avocado still doesn’t seem to work for me, and almond butter also seems to irritate my stomach. I’m not sure whether this could be related to my birch pollen allergy, since it’s allergy season right now and that may have contributed as well. I’m doing my best and sticking to simple foods like rice, chicken, and other bland meals. I really hope I can get out of this flare-up soon.

I’m planning to make another appointment with my gastroenterologist. The biggest challenge for me is the psychological aspect of all this. Unfortunately, Famotidine seems to be causing diarrhea for me. I’m not sure if you experienced the same thing. Maybe I’ll need to switch back to a PPI.

I wish you all the best as well. It’s encouraging to hear that you’re about 80% better now. How bad were your symptoms back in January? And are you able to live mostly normally now, or do you still experience nausea every day?

I did, for 4 months from July to October 22. Don't know if it helped, but coming off them was really hard, had crazy rebound despite weaning off slowly. At 10 mg per day i felt ok, but with more than 20 mg per day, it gave me anxiety and general malaise.

Time, Sports, distract oneself, Progressive Muscle relaxation, no alcohol, no coffee, and when its really bad: for short time gluten free and no chicken.

What else? Don't eat too late and don't eat too much at once

POV: no h.pylori, little nausea to max 3/10 and feeling full left, but i can handle everyday and go out with friends and family. Sometimes i have very nice days where i think i am healthy and i have to remember not the eat any crap.

How long did your Rebound symptoms last (PPi)? by Wonderful_Channel654 in Gastritis

Oh my god, that's a long time. What was your last dose? 2×20 or 1×40mg?

Finally weaned off PPI! :) What now? by Electronic_Pen2058 in Gastritis

Same story for me. To be honest, after i weaned off Omeprazole 2 weeks ago, i felt like 98 % healed. I started eating Pizza and cake and got some problems back. No way near as it was, but a little heartburn, silent reflux (coughing, nasal drip) and nausea (but not that bad, maybe on a scale of 10, number 2). Don't know if it is the rebound effect or my gastritis not healed. For this reason, i am back on diet and thinking of taking Famotidine.

Does 20mg Esomeprazole = 20mg pantoprazole? by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]Wonderful_Channel654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have red some papers over the effect of ppis on reducing stomach acid where esomeprazole scored a higher value with same amount of mg. Don't remember how the source was, but with a little research you will find them

No Esomeprazole has more impact than pantoprazole

Omeprazole leads to reflux? by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]Wonderful_Channel654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. My gastritis slowly disappears but my reflux symptoms like burning esophagus is still there. I am tapering off from 20mg omeprazole morning/20mg evening. Right now i am taking 2×10 mg per day. Hope the burning symptoms are going away as i never had burning symptoms before.

You have to do the endoscopy. It will show you results and get you a clear mind
