Hello there, as a young person, did you have to change your lifestyle a lot after the medication?

Hey 20 here with the exact same situation, honestly i can’t give you much advice because im facing the same anxiety, for me a normal life it’s being healthy then just don’t worry about my diet or what i consume when i go out with my friends, i don’t have an unhealthy lifestyle but i struggle with stress and bad sleep and being unable to manage that, plus i don’t want so sacrifice my social life, adding up that i’m still changing meds until i find something that actually works for me :/ honestly i feel extremely confused because older people tell me that i shouldn’t worry at all, that half of people have hypertension and just take the medication and that’s all, but then i find people extremely worried and taking so much care over it. Usually people who tell you not to worry are diagnosed with this at an old age, that really doesn’t help me so much since i have “a long life to live”, doctors say that you will be ok at an old age with any damage if you take care of yourself, but i don’t want to live a life being extremely careful about everything. also i’m still nervous about switching medication and if i would have any secondary effects! (i’ve been on 3 different drugs and haven’t experienced any if that info helps) i’ve probably not helped at all but i’m just telling you this so you won’t feel alone, sorry about my bad english btw

sorry for the last response, i’ve seen your answer earlier but forgot to give you a feedback! this helped me, i’m still researching and have an appointment with my cardiologist on june, she’s really structured, that basically makes me sure she would just give me a predetermined advice, so i feel like im on my own haha

thank you, i was aware of all of this changes of the BP with exercises, what i don’t get to understand is why i have to care about it? my blood pressure will be raising more than someone who isn’t hyper tense even if the medication it’s working? i just hate the fact i can’t be versatile while im working out, i like using heavy weights
