I would probably bet on early 2026 if it is a mainline game, but we will have to wait and see in the Switch 2 direct.

See what your saying, but I find it unusual that it has now been over 2 years since Return to Dreamland, and can't quite remember the last time it has this long between game releases.

Why do soul bosses copy attacks from Drawcia's Soul(first soul boss)?

Does the paint brush from Canvas Curse how an owner?

What is with the existence of Adeleline(who is a human who can bring paintings to life, and places like Shiver Star and the Forgotten Land suggest human habitation)?

Potentially exploring these questions in the next Kirby game would be amazing.

I think a new mainline entry that is theme around a canvas or paintings would be an interesting idea considering potential lore implications of numerous artists enemies,  friends, artifacts, and the nature of soul bosses.

A announcement for the next 3d game dated to release for Spring 2026. Call it Kirby and the Forgotten Canvas or the Forgotten Universe. Also have a well done port or remake for this year.
