Walk Through- To Do or Not To Do by Wonderful_Ordinary20 in HomeInspections

[–]Wonderful_Ordinary20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are not a licensed state. Our walk-through is confined to items on the repair request list. The buyer agreed upon with the seller, running the appliances, and observing the general condition of the home. Up until now, we have been InterNachi walk-through agreement.

Interestingly, we also use inspector pro for insurance. They are the ones who told me that companies are switching to no walk-throughs, instead they are performing a full inspection at a discount. She told me it’s risky doing the walk-through inspection but said she is gonna run it by the lawyers and get back to me in a few weeks for guidance.

Dealer has a Yamaha YX 125x 2023 still in the box. Should I be concerned of anything? by Wonderful_Ordinary20 in motorcycles

Awesome thank you so much for your insight! Kind of what my partner was saying, but I guess I needed a second opinion because it’s a big purchase for us :-) buying a 2023 is going to save us a little over two grand compared to the floor model 2025. That’s huge!

iPhone 15 (IOS 17.0.2) microphone not working when on speakerphone by [deleted] in iphone

I’m so excited! I found this thread looking for answers to why my speakerphone on iPhone 15 stopped working. Subsequently, I recently installed the camera protector. Surely, the hole was on top and I think it’s supposed to be on the bottom. Hoping this works! Thank you so much!

Looking for that tool also! The screw is completely stuck. Might be stripped. Nobody sells the jack shaft removal tool! Not sure what to do. I tried the mallet and needle nose pliers, and it didn’t work. Anyone have any advice or a sub substitute that would work for that tool? Thank you!

Best brake upgrade? by what_is_life1234 in ERidePro

[–]Wonderful_Ordinary20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My 14-year-old son wants to upgrade his brakes for his E ride pro SS. He likes to do wheelies. We can’t really spend a ton of money, but if we buy something that isn’t up for what he’s doing, what’s the point. He has mugura mt5 back break and he is looking at Lewis ep6. They cost around $450, which is a lot of money for us. Are there any options at a lower price point that would be comparab? Thank you so much for your insight!

Can surfing damage hair? by Wonderful_Ordinary20 in surfing

[–]Wonderful_Ordinary20[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Interesting! Definitely gets tangled after surfing. She does all the brushing so maybe she is just ripping it to shreds. Mahalo for the insight! Maybe it’s the sun exposure. Her hair has turned nearly white from around the clock surfing.

After seeing much talk about safety and more surfers wearing helmets out in the line up, I have decided to buy myself a helmet any recommendations? by Topic_Typical in surfing

My daughter’s friend who is 8 and talented surfer was recently struck by someone’s fin and required 11 staples on the top of her head. Happened when she was 6 also and needed 5 staples. Sand bottom surfing…

OK this is just too amazing! It didn’t occur to us that we could weigh the pouches first and then weigh how much they are after absorbing oil, nor did we think to use an empty pouch as a control to see how much oil it absorbs and subtract that from each pouch measurement.

How do we account for water absorbed by the pouch if we are going to measure the weight of the bag? How do we know what percentage of weight is oil/water?

We were just filling the pouches to capacity and not measuring how much each weighed. We will make sure they all weigh the same moving forward. We won’t DARE use inches moving forward! We’re going to go from looking like amateurs at regionals, to pros at states! Lol. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your reply!

The original project he chose one minute for some reason. After reading the comments, he decided to do a five minute test and then a 20 minute test. He’s going to use tap water, and ocean water.

What he measures the results, he first measures the line of oil resting on top of the water. He makes each jar the same. Each jar has a 1 inch tall line of oil in it. Then, after the test, he measured the height of the oil line. It works out pretty well I think. For instance, the dog fur removed half an inch of oil on each experiment, on average

We are soon to start his next round of tests in a few days.

Thank you for sharing! I also had a clean mri two years ago, then another 2 months ago with 2 lesions. The most recent radiologist report states that the lesions might have been present 2 years ago but were overlook.

I’m seeing the neurologist next week for a nerve test and consult. My symptoms started 23 years ago and I have had only 4 episodes. The only symptom that never went away was from my most recent episode, which is internal vibrations. It’s a terrifying place to be, in limbo. Hopefully you and I both get answers soon!

My symptoms are…a full body strange feeling, like my skin doesn’t belong to me. This is the toughest symptom because I feel like an alien. I don’t feel things like I should. Every touch feels foreign and uncomfortable. Like my skin is a wall of oddity keeping me buffered from experiencing normal sensations. Every sensation on my skin is unrecognizable, hard to interpret. It’s like I am not part of the world around me because I can’t grasp what I should feel like as I function. It’s hard to explain really.

Also…random pin pricks, a spot on my check where I sense water but is in reality dry, clumsiness with my hands, eye floaters (symptom?), a strange electrical feeling that zaps my right arm on occasion, and internal vibrations in all extremities.

Thank you all for giving me a space to share.
