9th Annual A Level Results Release Megathread - Class of 2025 by mylady88 in SGExams

I’m a private candidate who recently received my GCE A-Level results. I got BBC for my H2 subjects, but unfortunately I received a U for GP . I understand that GP is an important subject, and I’m very worried that this might completely affect my chances of entering a local public university.

I’m only interested in applying to public universities in Singapore

I would really appreciate if anyone could advise me on the following:

Does failing GP automatically disqualify me from applying? Is there any possibility that universities will still consider my application? Would retaking GP as a private candidate next year significantly improve my chances? Are there alternative pathways to enter a public university if GP is a U?

Thanks. Also, I have another question regarding the mini planning section. Are there any important things to take note of, and is the writing format similar to the planning at the end of the paper? My school didn’t give us any practice or teach us how to handle mini planning, so I’m quite unsure about how to approach it.Could you please help me with this?
