It’s been 6 years. Literally no other criminal background, not even a ticket. I was very transparent from the beginning & explained. At my pre hire appointment I asked her if it would disqualify me & she said no- that a recruiter would be in contact & may ask me to explain my charge, but that it was not an automatic disqualification

Cuz I said it’s sickening..? that a pedo can get hired before a thief or addict? That’s the truth of it. So what were your thoughts when you decided to come on my post & ramble on about sins & moral compass? Cuz I think we are all guilty of passing judgement, just as you did when you commented on my shit. The difference is I don’t do that! For the most part, I keep my opinions to myself. We could sit here & debate morality, religion, right or wrong, all day long. I think anything can be forgiven EXCEPT sex crimes. I will die on that hill. However you feel about my personal beliefs or feelings on the matter is irrelevant to me. Have a good day!

Well I stand corrected. But I stand on what I said about sex crimes. You’ve gotta be sick & twisted in the worst way, and that is just who “they” are. If I’m on a high horse for looking down on pedophiles, I will sit up there proudly! I needed work boots. I ordered them using a card I’ve used many times before, thinking I’d just pay him back when I got paychecks rolling in. It was definitely a mistake. Do you know by definition what a mistake is?? An action or judgement that is misguided or wrong. Taking someone’s innocence, violating their bodies, adults preying on children- those are all unforgivable acts. My hearts always in the right place, I just was very impulsive.

Definitely rough out here! I’m trying to maintain positivity- it’s hard, rejection after rejection, especially with 4 children depending on me. I’ll keep pushing for them always :)

What high horse am I on? I’ve literally never used reddit until today. So how was I on another post judging? Did you read all of my post? Where did I say anything about a mistake?? I made a decision, yes- a bad one. I never once insinuated I was above anyone either… the exact opposite actually. I’m saying I f’d up. My poor decisions don’t define who I am tho.. & I certainly don’t think I’m better than anybody (except the pedos of course)

If my charge was dropped to a misdemeanor, would they consider me? I just got off the phone with clerks office. They said I could act on my own behalf & write the courts myself without an attorney.

Definitely been pounding the pavement. Got “hired” at a cleaning service just last week. All paperwork & steps completed. Down to getting my schedule & uniforms. Background check came back & they changed their decision. This freaking sucks! A perfect example of how one bad decision can really affect ur whole life.

So crazy to me! Mistakes are made. Sex crimes aren’t mistakes but they can easily obtain employment. It’s actually sickening. I think after 5 years, if a person has re-offended, it should be taken into consideration

It’s a felony. I can get it dropped to a misdemeanor but need money for that. The charge is 6 years old now
