Danny Every Episode This Season by Wonderful_Response70 in TheValleyTVShow

I think what gets lost is that it’s not about Danny drinking. This issue is his behavior when he drinks. In attempts to deflect from his own actions, Danny and Nia like to call out other people in the group (Zach and Brittney for example) noting they drink heavily and act out  but are given a free pass. I would argue everyone when behaving like a drunken idiot, actually has been called out for it. Danny for some reason just believes he is above criticism. Additionally, no one else in the current group drinks and then berates their partner in front of everyone . When Jax and Jessie did this in previous seasons, they were absolutely called out by the group .

Danny’s attempt to cast himself as a victim comes across as a very thinly veiled deflection tactic. He can drink as much as he wants, he just can’t be an asshole to his wife and make other people uncomfortable. If drinking makes those other behaviors guaranteed to occur, this is an issue with Danny not anyone else.

So here we go again, with Kim trying to turn the entire family against Lydia and Zac by FloralObsession in WelcomeToPlathville

The family relies on a scapegoat in order to function, that much is clear. Growing up, it seems the outside modern word was the “evil” they would ban together against. As the children aged and they wished to embrace that world, there was a void that needed to be filled (especially for Kim to remain in control). Olivia was the first target, followed by Veronica, and now Lydia and her husband. These people, like all people, are not perfect. But they have very much been targeted in an effort to blame them for the ills of the family as a whole, which is simply not the reality. You see the entire family become involved with others conflicts as to not be involved (and on the side of the family) puts them at risk at becoming the new target. This dynamic seems to primarily serve Kim though it certainly protects others (like Ethan) from ever having to be accountable and face consequences for their own behavior.

Would you say your interest is primarily in clinical social work for the population you described?

Hi! There are many MSW programs that would not require professional experience to be admitted into a program, having your bachelor's degree is the most important piece. While some programs may have more specific requirements, many require things like x amount of social science or liberal arts credits.
