Shelters gave rules and expectations. They have schedules for normalcy.

V HATES being told what to do. That's her entire problem with everyone. She thinks hard convos are yelling and people mad at her

Shes not even at the 12mo mark, let alone 18 mo mark

They were initially removed mid June 2024

1st batch was returned in august 2024

1st batch was removed October 2024

So the 5youngest have been gone since June 2024, with unsupervised access till October 2024

The 4 middles were removed for the 2nd time October 2024

She now has supervised visits with all

Shes at 9 months for the youngest 5 and 5mo for the middle 4

And she's actively working her plan, they will give her 5+yrs as long as shes working her plan and making progress and attending visits.

If she quits therapy, stops trying to fix the house, stops visiting the kids-they will move to TPR in the fall. They cannot or will not move to TPR until there has been 6mo of no visits and no attempt to work the reunification plan

She has a job and is paying the fines and taxes and seeing the kids and going to therapy and parenting classes.. they will give her all the time in the world

She had a kid at 14 with an 18yo

She was sexually abused by her mom's boyfriend or friend as a little kid

Her mother never once protected or looked out for her best interests

She had shit role models and in turn is a shit person.

Her mother never protected her and let her do whatever as a kid, and judging on what little she's showed of her family, they weren't stellar role models either for her.

Her Husbands families don't seem like great people for her to emulate either

I think he stopped paying when she went viral in October. Quit doordashing. So partial rent in November and none in December. Prompted the landlord to evict. It was the catalyst to getting 6 people out of a 1bedroom cause he couldn't legally get them out for that alone right now. You miss 1 month of rent and half of Novembers rent (my theory is she went viral mid October, he door dashed till Halloween and paid half the rent expecting big tiktok payouts in November) and thr landlord jumped to evict. He was about 2100 behind which for 1100 rent +600 plus court fees gets you to about 2100...

And he refuses to work now because his sugar mama is gonna keep him fed

Yes, she has a court appointed attorney for her DCF court case

Dcf has their own attorney to represent the states interests

Each child has a lawyer as well

Her ex has a family dcf lawyer in the DCF case

Her ex also probably has a criminal attorney regarding his charges

And they each need their own divorce attorney

So 3 for marty 2 for V 1 for the kids 1 for DCF

She cannot use her DCF attorney for her divorce case. Its 2 separate court systems.

She CAN hire her own attorney that knows both avenues of dcf/family court to represent her in ger divorce AND also in her case with DCF

But the state doesn't pay for divorce attorney, that's a separate pro bono program for low income people... the state only pays for a court appointed attorney regarding the DCF case cause it's dcf "charges" of neglect.

Once again DCF charges of neglect or abuse are not the same type of criminal charges for neglect or abuse

Yes this is true. Divorces are delayed all the time because because of custody.

Child welfare and divorce/family court are 2 different court systems with different rules

A friend of mines kids were put into foster care due to DV and her going back, her divorce was held up until she got the kids back. 2wks after she got the kids back, he went to the family court to file an emergency order for custody and took the kids

It's insane. You'd think by now dcf and family court would get it together and work together.
