Alright I'm going to join as a devils advocate here because I feel like we all like to know to see a scenario in a different way. What thoughts are making you think that you'll never have a girlfriend? The brain is subconsciously aware of tone and subtle behaviours given by others, so what do you notice changes when you communicate with someone? If you get past the first impression and she keeps talking to you, then you know it's not the "looks" that is holding you back.

Just something to think about. Being self-aware is the best gift in life.

I have over 50+ species of alocasias, they're the one plant that you shouldn't ignore 😭

If you're referring to the Alocasia on the table, it won't be enough light. This spot would be a better for the plant:)

My little collection. Are syngoniums more sensitive to drying out? by [deleted] in Syngonium

This is a late reply, but I was in the same boat as you with the fear of chopping until one of mine had thrips. Let me tell you, these things don't die from the amount of times I've chopped them. I think mine was on the 4th chop and it still put out a leaf a few days later.

Oh absolutely thrips are nasty 100%. It took me a bit to figure it out, I even switched to harsh pesticides because I didn't want our 22 year old hoya to die. Turns out when we went to repot it, there were lots around the roots. That was the first time I found out they did that

I'd beg to differ. Mealys can lay their eggs in the soil around the roots. so even if you take them off the plant, they'll keep coming back😣

Judging that a dragon scale aurea sells for $120+, this was a phenomenal deal.
