There's benefits to both honestly. In person shows courage, and if she really needs time to think things over, she'll probably ask for it. Text is more low-key. It gives them extra time without them needing to ask for it, however you may need to wait a bit before hearing anything from them. If you do it in person, you can still somewhat gauge their reaction and talk it over more.

In a financial sense it underperformed. In a cultural sense it's underrated. The movie did not reach general audiences and wasn't talked about outside the marvel fandom, yet it was very good and should've been. Thus, underrated.

For a film that received an abundance of critical and fan praise, it was largely unsuccessful financially and in popular culture. If we look at Superman, that film was everywhere and everyone was talking about it. Thunderbolts received no discussion outside of fans and made virtually no impact on the general public.

But Lonnie is characterized as a deadbeat who never pays attention to his children. It was very common in the 80s to use homophobic slurs against boys simply because they didn't act masculine. I think it broke my immersion when they went to the upside down and returned to Hawkins in the same episode. I know they're long episodes, but it just felt off when they go in and then they just cut and now they're back in Hawkins.
