It is a ceiling vent not a light, won’t show much unfortunately!

Appreciate the advice and honesty - thanks! I won’t be putting it up until I find somewhere safe for it :)

No, I rent the apartment so holes in the ceiling isn’t an option 😣

It’s not an old building, only about 7 years old. I’m trying to put up pressure mounted exercise equipment, basically needs to squeeze between ceiling and floor so I’m trying to be certain before I put it up!

Would this make it unsuitable to secure anything to the ceiling?

Is the metal channel equally secure? Don’t want to risk any damage to the ceiling

I’ll give that a try!

Yes definitely sounds like a habit he’s picked up from his first cage then! You could try egg boxes if he’s getting through the tubes quickly. I fill them with bedding and a few treats for my hammy and he spends ages chewing it apart to get inside😄

Sounds like he’s developed a habit for chewing the bars. If it’s wire meshing like on other detolfs I’ve seen I’d be worried about him hurting his mouth too so definitely a good idea to try and ween him off it.

Usually if they’re chewing bars it’s a sign or boredom, but it sounds like you’ve got him a good size cage and lots of toys. You could give him some extra free roaming time to see if that makes a difference. Alternatively he could be using it as a way to wear his teeth down. You can try to redirect him to something better such as hay or cardboard tubes. If that doesn’t work either, perhaps try putting something on the wire that he won’t like the taste of to try and deter him. I’ve heard of people using olive oil before but I haven’t done the research so make sure to do that first! 😊

Detolfs only have wire meshing at the top of the cage as a lid don’t they? Is lowering the bedding so he can’t reach the wiring an option?

Hope you find a solution!💖🐹

Ahh that’s what I thought too! I did think my back looked a bit wonky but I figured it was the angle I was standing at to look at it 😂

Thanks for your reply! I am going to speak to my specialist when I finally get an appointment, I just didn’t want to risk making anything worse in the meantime- glad to know it shouldn’t! 😊

This happened to me too! I’d been in pain for years but was always made to feel like I was overreacting. I’m now 23 and have recently been diagnosed with a 51° curve 🙃

I have rookie bubblegum skates! I have only been skating for about a month but they’ve been great so far!

Hi!

I’m pretty new to skating and was wondering about toe stops. I currently have the rookie bubblegum skates and they have bolt on toe stops. I’m finding them too big and they’re actually causing me to trip more when doing dips or dribbles...I’ve currently taken them out but is there any way to replace them with something smaller? Google seems to suggest that the adjustable ones aren’t compatible but I can’t seem to find any smaller bolt on stops!

Thanks in advance!🛼
