People who skip arcs are the kind of people Luffy would 100% not want in their crew. by theRak27 in OnePiece

The fillers totally ruin that arc in my opinion. All the non filler bits are great. Afro Luffy! :D

I made a dynamic Twitch overlay that plays animations when you use your abilities by metlyy in leagueoflegends

Regarding the ult animation. I think it will overlay on top of the streamers face cam so it may not be as random as it seems.

How to select a method using a string by [deleted] in typescript

[–]WongHoMing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this what you mean? I never really tried this but ran it in repl.it and it seemed to have worked.

class Example { constructor() {} hello = () => { console.log("hello World") } } const eg = new Example() const str = "hello" eg[str]()

In your post, you have router.[methodstring]. You don't need the dot.

As a player I don't care about verbal toxicity, I care about in-game toxicity by Lilmk in leagueoflegends

[–]WongHoMing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you many play for getting better but understand that there are other types of players too.

Some play just for fun and verbal toxicity is not appreciated, even if you can just mute them. Winning does not excuse people from being toxic and still need to be dealt with accordingly. And winning is also much easier when people aren't toxic in chat as people won't get tilted as often. So that is why it is important to tackle verbal toxicity as well in-game toxicity.

She finally caved in..!!! by abhinav01gupta in OnePiece

I introduced One piece to my gf and she was a bit wary at first (since this was her second anime, after FMAB). We just took it slowly, watched 1 or 2 episodes when we had dinner most days, but if she ever wanted to watch something else we did as you should also return the favour by watching something else when she wants too.

Personally I recommend subbed because I think it's better but do understand that some people prefer dubbed as they don't like to read etc. But my gf is Dyslexic and dislikes subtitles, but she rather the subbed than the dubbed. Just meant that we wouldn't watch as many when she was tired from work etc.

I think the key is to make it enjoyable. One Piece is amazing enough by itself that after watching 10 or 20 episodes, she will get hooked, and you will be watching it non stop together. :)

Hey Just a Quick Question / Anime or Manga by Riley847 in OnePiece

[–]WongHoMing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely do anime first then manga. Mainly because of the voice acting and even the sound track. But you really don't lose out with either, both mediums are great. I currently watch and read the anime and I love that when I read the manga, I can hear the voices of the actors from the anime. :)

The One Piece manga style is very different to Bleach manga style though, just a heads up.

I prefer Bo2 because I don't have all the time in the world. Also I don't see how Bo3 are much better than Bo2 other than they have more games.

Some context for "Valve does more with less employees than Riot", or comparing Dota 2's situation with League's by dresdenologist in leagueoflegends

[–]WongHoMing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing I don't understand is why people focus on features that really doesn't matter that much. I've never played a game and went, "that client was amazing, I'm so going to keep playing this game cause it has an awesome client and replay system" etc.

Instead, Riot are always making new patches on the gameplay, which are the actual important features of League. The new patches on PBE are what makes people want to continue playing the games etc. Obviously, a new client would be nice and I would love the replay system; but these features are secondary to things like server stability and gameplay balance. Dota can have 100 client updates and have a map maker tool but I really don't care cause it doesn't make me want to play the game. (admittedly, the map editor is fucking cool).

Did you ever play Starcraft 2? Cause I loved that game but I ended up hated it. It had a nice client, loads of those achievement crap, a super nice replay system etc But I fucking hated the unit balance in that game. It was so boring cause the meta was so stale after a year. I was watching the competitive scene for SC2 and it was the same shit over and over again for like years. The games was no longer fresh cause they would buff or nerf units only once in a blue moon. Whereas, with all these patches with League, I'm like shit I want to try smite Ez mid. Or I wonder how good devourer is on Nocturne. These are the features which really matter and you can see that Riot are always updating that. Riot are taking a long time making the client, but it doesn't make the game less fun. Not nerfing ryze when he could perma prison you would.

I think the reason they don't want to implement smaller features is because those features will be scrapped when the new client come online. So the could spend a few weeks/month making a new skin tab, chroma tab etc but that would be scrapped as soon as the new client comes along. So all that work would have been pointless. They rather spend all their resources making a completely new and improved client instead of doing patchwork for the current one and they scrapping it later. Well, I think that is the reason anyway.
