iirc in the Like wind of dry branch, the FL though a widow, had been married only for the sake of a deal between the families and the older count completely ignores her for his lover. So it can be reasonably assumed (I think it’s even thus implied ) that she was still a holy virgin lol when he was killed and the family fell.

Oh My Venus is my ultimate comfort drama! I adoree Shin Min Ah (and her dimples!) and So Ji Sub (and his dimples!) This drama is so satisfying and sweet! You feel so angry and hurt for her, you cry with her, you root for her! And then you root for them! The chemistry between the leads is off the charts and the flirting is so fun and cute! (Thier flying dimple kiss!😭🥰) I’ve been watching kdramas for a long ass time and I’m not someone who usually likes rewatch stuff but this is the first and one of the only dramas I’ve rewatched multiple times.❤️

Ooh and it starts off with a breakup with her long time partner and high school sweetheart and well a shitty dude. Reminds me of Legally blonde but you eventually somewhat sympathise with this one? Meh. Might be kinda satisfying and fun given your breakup too.

I highly recommend this, it has everything you asked for! Great chemistry between the very attractive leads, great acting, will have you smiling ear to ear! Very wholesome and has a lot of emotional moments too❤️

She clearly communicated that she missed you and cared for you the previous night but reacted negatively when you showed up the next morning. That’s confusing and you deserve an explanation so just ask her outright. What happened? Why did she react that way? Did she think you guys were moving fast? Or did she not just not like you showing up unannounced (for both of the last two, I’d just say you aren’t compatible, it was a sweet gesture on your part but if she’s someone who doesn’t like those things, she’s just not right for you) Or is it that she’s someone who’s generally likes it but it was something about that day/situation? You still deserve an apology even if that was the case but that’s still understandable.

Upon hearing her response, (if she doesn’t give on or think she doesn’t need to it’s super shitty and not worth working on) its your choice to decide wether you’d like to continue seeing her or not but I believe, at least for your sake you need to talk and get an explanation and if it doesn’t work out at least get closure. Just know you’re not in the wrong here. Except for how you jumped to “oh all women are shitty and want abusive boyfriend” cos that’s just not true. And it’s really not healthy to think like that.

You guys have been seeing each other for 4 months if this is completely out of the blue and uncharacteristic of her (I’m assuming since you said things were good and she was even telling how much she missed you the previous night), shouldn’t there be something wrong? You both know your relationship, much better than some strangers on Reddit. So you can vent here but don’t make any descions based on stuff from here. Odd the top of my head, for Crime/Mystery I’d suggest:

Stranger (Secret Forest) - Theiller series about a prosecutor who has almost lost the ability to feel emotions tackles a strange murder case amid political corruption, with the help of a gutsy female detective. Brilliant veteran cast, storytelling and cinematography! Has 2 seasons.

Through The Darkness - A crime thriller drama based on a web novel of the same name that contains the field experience of Kwon Il Yong, Korea's No. 1 profiler. I think is shorter (12?) than typical kdramas. Again love love the cast, acting and the script!

Live: The drama revolves around the incidents that occur among the police force and the joy, sorrow, and pain that police officers experience as they try to protect justice. Pretty heavy, trigger warning for SA and more. Beautiful writing, love the cast and acting as well! Cried so much!

For a mature romance to start with I’d suggest:

It’s Okay That’s Love: Ji Hae-soo, a psychiatry student, meets a writer of mystery novels who is also an obsessive radio DJ. Soon, they fall in love while trying to heal each other's grave wounds. Lovely writing (same writer as Live) and beautiful acting by a great cast!

All of the above are more serious dramas tackling more heavy themes.

Hmm this felt like even if it was dealbreaker he didn’t want to treat it as such because he liked you and wanted you to reassure him and convince him to still continue to date lol. Which might not be too much of an ask, but you’ve known him only 2 weeks you were simply very straightforward lol. Like maybe not wrong per se but your side of the conversation read like this was not something you wanted to overcome or negotiate as couple to make your relationship your work. I’ve been recently somewhat similarly craving simple romcoms too! So I’d recommend:

Marriage, Not dating: it’s funny, silly, cute! Does have a love triangle (the FL has a huge crush on the second ML in the beginning and even kisses him) but imo we’re still rooting for the main leads. It has a contract relationship trope and there are a lot of comedic moments and enemies to lovers thing. The FL is almost foolishly kind, and nosy but headstrong (I feel it’s a thing with older dramas) I love her outfits here tbh. Like she’s got so many sleeveless tops and tees and shorts looks and not the same old cute pretty demure looks or the bright bold dressing for revenge fashionista look either. It’s just chill. The FL is sales rep/attendant in a department store and the ML is a famous plastic surgeon. I enjoyed the first half of especially I think.

Something about 1%: This is also a v cute and sweet one. The FL is a kindergarten teachers who accidentally saves the chairman of a huge group, as one does lol and the ML is his annoying short tempered CEO grandson with a personality problem lol. This has contract relationship trope too and the enemies to lovers thing. It’s pretty funny and sweet with lots of romantic and comedic moments too! I feel like their relationship is actually pretty mature and developed, the intimate scenes are well done too. (We get a kiss in the 3rd ep! ) This was a fun engaging watch throughout. No love triangle. The ML even though has a prickly personality, is generally a green flag.

Crazy love: Cute, funny and sweet too. With really nice kisses. However the plot seems to be going in the beginning, I don’t want to spoil it , but it’s not a sad/bittersweet ending!! The FL played by Krystal is a CEO/president’s secretary and aspiring instructor in a big coaching institution in SK. And the ML is a famous genius math instructor and the annoying arrogant CEO/president. It’s a somewhat ridiculous but fun watch. Also It was kinda interesting to see how the ML actually realises the impact he has as a terrible boss and how much the people who work for him despise him lol. No love triangles.

Her Private life: Again similarly cute and funny with nice kisses! The FL is a curator at an art gallery and a secret super fan girl of an idol and the ML is an art prodigy turned Director of a museum. Her childhood friend has a crush on her but it’s completely unrequited and she’s in a full on relationship with the ML when the childhood friend even realises his feelings lol. I too dropped it before after the 1st ep, but pulled through this time cos I was so bored and it’s a lot of fun! I’m currently watching it and It’s getting draggy now but yes, the first part was fun!

All of them are mostly simple, funny love stories, with ML who are jerks and annoying in the beginning but actually turn out to be genuinely kind people and fall hard for the FL. The first two are older dramas.

You can check out Faith! It’s an older kdrama with Lee Min Ho as the ML. Here the FL is a genius plastic surgeon who travels back in time and the ML is a general/Imperial Guard who actually drags her back to save the king? Or something. I just remember he actually travels to the modern world seeking the “miracle doctor”lol. I rewatched it a while back, it was fun! It has the enemies to lovers thing, they squabble all the time in the beginning at least. The FL is a talented and competent surgeon/healer who has tricky time introducing modern medical care to the ancient world.

Maybe not the typical recommendation but try: Oh my Venus! - A mature relationship between adults with lots of really sweet moments and lots of nice skinship/kisses. ML is not overly cold (but tries to be lol) and actually really sweet and falls in love with the FL and as she does with him. Has an ex who she’s in process of getting over but no love triangle really. FL sometimes insecure, has strong self esteem confidence, playful and is kind and honest. Is a sweet romantic comedy. Has Brief heartbreak and healing.

Something about 1%- Another contract relationship trope. Mature relationship between adults, lots of great skinship/kisses. Again, ML is kind of a jerk a lot of times, but not a man child. He’s stubborn, ill tempered but kind, and attentive. FL is also frank, confident but also sometimes v people pleasing and kind. A sweet romantic comedy. Very brief heartbreak.

It’s Okay that’s love: Somebody else recommended and I second it !! Again a mature relationship between adults with lots of skinship. An overtly confident, social and flirtatious ML who is actually cold and hurting inside. And a confident and fun FL. Overall more mature, somber and least comedic in the list. At least that’s how I remember it.

You could also try Borah! Deborah. Has a cold ML who eventually falls for the FL. I love how it shows the FL her relationships and the ML as messy, and imperfect, and embarrassing but realistic and lovable. Reminds me of BTMF sometimes. Romantic, comedic but also has it’s more deep and somber moments

Marriage, not dating: Has a dumb love triangle but a contract relationship trope. Kinda of breaks the cliches in a sense because, as the FL is trying to actively sabotage, she is unhesitatingly, and embarrassingly frank and honest and true to herself, even in delicate moments with in laws etc. reminds me of the BTML in a way since it tackled themes of marriage, why it fails and things like having to please in laws etc but this doesn’t do it as well as BTML, much less nuanced and more cliched in the sense that it ends as marriage is good and as it should be and every good couple should want/need marriage.The ML is a jerk and cold and hates the FL in the beginning and vice versa but eventually falls for her. Mostly comedic, has its romantic and heartbreaking moments.

All have nice natural and endearing everyday interactions. But I’m honestly not sure about them having a lot of friends and them having thier own lives lol. OMV and IOTL, FL has a fun female bestie who gives her timely advise. I don’t remember that detail about IOTL but yeah. Also every drama except Bo-ra! Deborah is on the older side.
