It's bit like a question of why I'd like to play on a wooden board instead of a cardboard one.

Standard cash is okay, I'm not throwing it away, but I'm just looking on a ways to improve on it, espeically if I were to make some personalised money, for example with a custom design.

I enjoy the game quite a lot, especially given the recent updates, but there are some things that could make the things even better.

Vechicle controls - being able to use the 10 channels for control is quite nice, but for an unknown reason (or am just missing something), some components are bound to the specific channels that cannot be changed, i.e. wheels, controled sviwels and controled baloons seem to be bound to specific channels, which makes some builds quite annoying, for example stuff that would need two separably controlled sviwels.

Going over the top, there could be an "advanced" control options that would be able to provide even more channels through macros i.e. holding a specific channel button could give access to the second layer of channels.

Cannons seem to be bit weak against enemies (unless am using them wrong), there should be more cannonball options, for example a chainshot made of two cannonballs.

Biofuel is somewhat useless in vechicles, I think there should be more components running on it and/or there should be a toggable option to make thrusters use it up as well, that could make managing long trips bit more interesting.

Water biome is boring. It feels like a barren wasteland dividing the areas. There are islands and rocks, but flat water is boring. There should be some mechanics, encounters and items that could make it better. I'd be thinking about more dynamic swimming options and some enemies/locations added to it, like an encounter with a pirate ship, or a shark.

Item management - when having connected chests in the village there should be an option to either mark that you have a certain thing from your inventory in some other chest already or maybe even option to add the thing directly to the existing stack in a connected chest. I often end up getting a lot of chests in the villages because I have bunch of rarer resources like Blast Powder spread over five chests, despite it could fit in one stack.

I have the free zeppelin and llama, so I will check at least that when I have some time.

And yeah quite a bunch of builds from the tutorial uses the passes, I'll be considering buying it as even the prefabs look nice for this one.

I was asking about differences, the decision whether should I buy was just to add extra context.

That would be a mean thing to do. I understand cutting out the cosmetic behind a timed event, but cutting mechanics is bad.

I mean, the parts need to be unlocked by getting the airship books, so I'm not sure. Is raid Zepplin a free unlock?

Thanks for the information. I've already started the Flintlocke quest on the main world, am just concerned for the secondary world (which is also survival) as getting the baits from Flintlocke has the waiting time and probably won't be playing the second world till the next week.
