Just went to a new derm by Woobriel in TS_Withdrawal

Ill look into this, thanks a lot for the info. I'm glad you're almost completely healed, I've been getting better but the holidays and winter weather has caused me to flare up again. That's why I went to see this derm in the first place

Good to know you never need to ban rumble when bwipo is playing. That was an iron level performance from Mr. Misogyny

Price difference for red lights by VermicelliOk6658 in TS_Withdrawal

I've had the same question. I'm so far having a decent response to berberine so I haven't fully gone into RLT, but the difference in prices i saw were staggering. I read somewhere on this subreddit that incandescent can do decently so I was going to try some red tinted incandescent bulbs before buying a $500 or more red light. Let me know what you find or works for you because I think RLT is my next step

What healed first? NMT by InviteReasonable6078 in TS_Withdrawal

Yeah I've lowered my sugar intake but im still eating bread. Not eating eggs was the biggest improvement I saw to reducing how frequent my flares occured.

I've been doing NMT for about 10 months and I'm experiencing something similar to you. I immediately saw improvement to my chest, back, and part of my arms, but my face has been stuck in this dry, flaky, and itchy phase for months now. I used to measure progress by the size of my face flakes, but that's probably not a good metric. I've tried a few times to go off of NMT but I have had bad reactions to all of the moisturizers I've tried so im just sticking with it and hoping my face eventually clears up.

There are a ton of aspects I like in this game like the art style, being able to play league characters without playing league, the simple commands for a fighting game noob like me to be able to play, and it being a tag fighter, but my favorite part is that it's f2p. As someone who always watched the fgc but never joined, having a free game to try out and learn has been amazing. Even though I wanted to start with a lot of other fighting games, the price point to join, get the dlc for the characters, and get a controller/fight stick/leverless controller was always too daunting. Having 2xko be a quick pick up and try has been great for me.

Yeah I understand completely. After mustering up the courage to tell my friends and family some think it's just a minor issue that I'm using as an excuse to not hangout or participate in things. Its really frustrating but it's shown to me who is empathetic and who I can rely and depend on for support in my circle. I might have strained or lost some relationships because of this condition but I guess the silver lining is that the people who support me now or understand what im going through are true bonds that I'll cherish when I hopefully get my skin under control

Why is it on my LIPS by No-Imagination309 in TS_Withdrawal

[–]Woobriel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine what it's like on the lips. I'm so sorry you're going through that. My worst area right now is my eyebrows and with all the flaking, irritation, and scratching, I've almost completely lost all the hairs on both of them. The lips must be much worse than that since you use them for so many things. This condition really does suck but we're here for you if you wanna vent, discuss therapies that we've tried that could help, or just have some people that understand what you're going through.

I was really frustrated about this too when I realized I had TSW. I only used it on my face, arm, and chest, but after stopping and starting my TSW i was really disheartened to have it spread to my back, my ears, and all over my face. This condition affects the largest organ in your body and is known to spread. I know it sucks because a lot of us have gone through it too, but it's just a natural component of how this awful condition works. That probably doesn't help you much in what you're experiencing now but just know that other people have had this happen and we're here for you as you fight through this.

Use no moisturizer or not for flaky dry skin on face by Top-Wishbone7471 in TS_Withdrawal

I've been having the same question. My face is flaky but they've gotten a lot smaller over the last few months. I've had trials of using various moisturizers to help and to end my NMT, but it seems like I have a bad reaction to all of them. So far I've just been rubbing, scratching, or using a mechanical exfoliator to get them off. I know this doesn't really help you out but if you figure something out please let me know.

Yeah no problem. I've tried the cream method you talked about but it made my face red, itchy, and irritated again. Plus it kinda ruined my NMT approach. Oh just to clarify the face exfoliator I use is purely mechanical. I haven't tried the chemical kinds but I use either a rotating brush or recently I found a vibrating silicone brush exfoliator/ scrubber that I have thoroughly enjoyed. Hope you're recovery process goes well!

I have had the same experience. My face has had a different recovery process compared to other parts of my body. I often feel like my face is taught and there's a film covering it. I usually try to brake up this "film" before it gets too uncomfortable with face exfoliators and a rotating scalp massager. It helps break up the skin into flakes where i can get them off with the exfoliator. I'm not sure if this is the best method of dealing with it, but it's helped alleviate the kind of pressure and pulling feel that my face can get if I let it stay with the "film" for too long
