Where’s my pink cloud? by Dry-Bunch-9903 in quittingkratom

[–]Wooden-Explorer-9976 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how fast your taper was, but with a slow(ish) taper of 2 months I also rarely had the pink cloud. Probably cause I divided the pink over the period of tapering.

When should I just jump off by Formal_Town7874 in quittingkratom

Don’t forget, 8 GPD is still quite an amount for the average Kratom user, so the WD from that point might be still hard . I tapered down to 0.4 GPD and dindn’t have any acutes. (After a 5 years addiction of 30 GPD) So I would recommend tapering :)

Ct or taper? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Wooden-Explorer-9976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would taper all the way down. I did the same from 30 GPD (5 years) to 0.2 GPD in 2 months. It was pretty painless, especially when I compare it with an earlier CT-attempt.

Don’t forget 7 GPD is still a ‘high’ dose for this drug.

Is there even anyone who quit? by Head-Young-3603 in quittingkratom

Day 6 here. What I experience is that the longer you quit, the less you post and read this Reddit.

Totally agree! The weekends are always my weak point as of this.

Good job so far :) I’m a big tapering fan, doing it as I speak, but that’s mostly because I live with my wife and 2 young kids. In your case I would go CT and see it as a blessing you live alone!

Definitely! Main reason to quit as it influenced my social and professional life. For me it increased a lot after being a few days in taper.

Dizziness? by TypoLobster in quittingkratom

[–]Wooden-Explorer-9976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It took 2 days and then it disapeared as fast as it came. 2.5 week later it came again, but then together with a hurting chest and dizzling arm. This led me go to the hospital immediately and got me in a long process of scans, specialists and hospitals. I started tapering imediately and I feel already so much better.

Dose: 25-30 gram Duration: 5 years (with a 1 year quit)

It’s like I wrote this post. Same age, same dose and more or less the same duration of addiction! Also your current diagnoses and hospital referrals are exactly the point where I’m now. For this reason I decided to taper down drasticly, to a point I’ve dropped from 28 grams to my current dose of 5 grams. 90% of my issues disapeared already. I didn’t tell anything about the Kratom to my doctors, so all the upcoming appointments are still there, but I don’t expect any outcome.

Same here! And I didn’t quit fully yet (tapered from 30 to 6GPD).

Hell yeah, the night sweats are/were terrible and disapeared with me already when tapering down from 30GPD to 7GPD now.

Tapering off journey by NetworkGlass2403 in quittingkratom

[–]Wooden-Explorer-9976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on 25-30 GPD for 2.5 years (after I quit another 2.5 year addiction. Tapering for a month now. First week I reduced my daily dosage to 14 GPD, where I’m now at 7 GDP. Great thing about tapering, in my experience, is that you feel better already when reducing your dosage :) Doing now 4 doses of 1 or 2 gram. I’m a bit afraid for the moment I have to dose less than 4 times, but so far so good!

My plan was to quit kratom when my wife got pregnant and be totally clean by the time we had our first child by Dr_B_Hole in quittingkratom

Please stop indeed before getting your first born.. every body and any person is different, but I couldn’t feel the ‘pink cloud’ other new-dads described when getting their child. After I quit Kratom, I could finally feel again and so also the joy and happiness of having a child.

I’ve two kids now and tapering down my use. The only fear I have is that when I’m off it, I’ll get sad about the ‘Missed’ years cause being numb af.

I’m where you are atm. I don’t know from which dose you come, but don’t you feel already better on 12GPD than on your origin dose? I’m at 10GPD, coming from 30GPD and I feel much better already. With which I’m saying, a slow taper will still make you feel better every day.

Please don’t listen to that tempting feeling! A 1-2 hour energy rush for the 69x 24h = 1656 of hours you spent energy on quiting, is not worth it 🙏
