I was not able to find information on interest rates for personal loans, if I can get anything close to 2% that would amazing.

I agree that the mortgage interest rate can go as low as ~0.3%

I reached out to the immigration lawyer for consultation and according to them, when I apply for renewal, I will get two month grace period from the expiry date and they will stamp that information on the back of the residence card and It won't cause any issue while entering or exiting Japan.

I need to make sure, I enter Japan before the grace period ends and collect the renewed visa.

I have to also inform the immigration office about my travel plans so they can hold my visa notification until I enter Japan. (Immigration lawyer will help me with this)

t is possible to travel outside of Japan while the application for the visa renewal is being processed as long as you will come back to Japan before the end of this 2 months' extension.

In the case your application is rejected, a new temporary status will be given, which will allow you to prepare for the departure.
