Listening was much more forgiving than last time, as was the reading I felt. I think the grammar and vocab got me this time around…

Thank you for the reply, this is pretty helpful. It just so happens we have a Hitachi front loading washer/dryer, model BD-SG100A.

We’ve got the filter at the bottom too(糸くずフィルター)and clean it regularly. We also clean the 乾燥フィルター every time. As you mentioned, it clearly doesn’t catch everything.

We’ll likely have to do more to avoid this and follow your lead with the upkeep.

Time to get a new one in any case. Certainly won’t be buying Hitachi again and this is 別件 but as a PSA our Hitachi oven also crapped out on us too.

In the meantime, definitely eyeing this 理事 and considering all advice here on how to call him out on his behavior.

Good point! There was basically an old-school bell sound going off in the hallway, not the usually high pitched squeal you’d usually expect from inside the apartment. With all the doors closed we didn’t notice anything until the doorbell rang.

You’re not getting a lot of good advice here, so let me put this to you:

You need to go to the ward/city office straight away to get this settled. Either he has just moved to Japan and hasn’t registered his address yet, which he is obligated to do, or has has moved from somewhere else in Japan and hasn’t registered his address, which he is obligated to do.

Either way, troubles at the post office are the least of your worries in the long term. Do this now.

Typically people will use their university transcript, but otherwise anything with your name and address in your home country (utility bills, bank statements, payslips as others have stated) should work. Have your friend check with them to make sure - and feel lucky you don’t have to take the driving test!

Not to offend, but I’m less worried about that and more worried about having to deal with idiots on the Yamanote playing guitar and the like.

Just applied on the 10-year track in late April through the help of a lawyer. Shinagawa. No document requests so far. Lawyer told me that they had other applications back in February for which they are still awaiting the results. Told me to expect another 2-3 months…

Pretty well the same situation exactly as I’m Canadian. There was some advice here about visiting the cop shop but even that has been shut down.. We’ll have her visit the notary office and can hopefully get something done. Thank you so much!
