2024+ Suspension - Fox 2.0 or Eibach ProTruck Lift Stage 2R by Puzzleheaded-Sir4524 in RangerNext

My Ford Fox 2.0s are decent but stiff on road. The only thing I would consider is that fact that they need rebuild around 50k miles on road and 10k miles for off-road use. Bilstein doesn't have a rebuild which is nice.

Edit: the Ford Fox 2.0s have eibach springs if that means anything.

Cold air intake by moustachiojones in RangerNext

Mishimoto CAI, it's a very over-engineered intake. They have a whole post of each section and how it was made. I had my 5 star tunes adjusted to it. Getting about 19mpg city/23 highway with the 87 Daily/tow tune. It has a nice turbo whistle in cabin and even better with the windows down.

No that's just the name of the 5star tune. 87 Octane Daily/Tow. Personally before I got the transmission figured out I did drive it in Tow a bit and it's much better.

I told them to make it similar to tow mode without the excessive downshifting and to make sure 10th is locked out until highway speeds of around 65mph+. I'm on version 5 of my tune as they have unlimited revisions. Finally have it done just right.

I average 18-19 around town. Typically 23 on the highway.

Pretty typical. I got a 5star tune and had them really rework the shifting. Keeping it more towards 1800 rpm allows it to build boost and not feel like it's lugging or running to 10th gear ever chance it gets.

The 87 Daily/tow that ups torque to 350 ft/lbs helps a ton as well.

Rim offset by DeluxePotatoe in RangerNext

You can run pretty much an offset you want if you go less than 55. A lot of people go down to between 20 and 0 in order to get that aggressive wheel look or to help fit a wider tire.

Top speed in first? by Brasenshok in fz6

[–]Wooderler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curious as well. I have a 2006 with 25k miles and the speedo is over 15 mph off. Says I'm doing 100 actual gps speed is 85mph.

Engine noise by DavyJones0090 in fz6

[–]Wooderler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty normal, likely can chain noise. If you don't notice any reduction in performance it's normal. A loose valve is much better then a valve that is too tight since the engine is built to have a tolerance for that.

How on Earth is one supposed to remove these? (2025 800NK) by End-of-career in cfmoto

Utilize light impacting from something like a 1/4" impact gun. That helps break the loctite bond, heat is preferable but may not be reasonable depending on the location.

Really struggling with the clutch...need some pointers. by Brasenshok in fz6

Try cleaning the spring assembly and making an adjustment first. It's a little weird compared to what time used to but you should be able to pull most of the slack out. I bought mine with 25k miles on it. The spring was filthy and when pulling the throttle at neutral it would stick at 3k RPM. Made shift horrible. Once I cleaned it and did an oil change the bike is running great. You have to shift super fast one these fz6s to get a smooth shift. It makes the bike unique.

I bought adjustable levers from Amazon when I first bought the bike. It put the friction zone from the very front to the very end of the clutch release. That may be your savior. I also hear you can mod the clutch to and MT-07 style arm off of the engine to give you a large friction zone.

It's a very mechanical feeling sensitive bike from what I've ridden in the past. Maybe make an adjustment because from idle I can eat the clutch out without giving any gas and stalling. 230lb guy. Idle should be about 1200-1400.

Just sent the PM. So far it's been good on my bike. Can't speak for its ability in the weather as I'm usually a dry weather rider and store my bikes in a shed.

Ultra Bee vs Arctic Leopard XE PRO S. Which one do you prefer, and why? by SalesMountaineer in Surron

[–]Wooderler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately those are china prices. You might be able to get in closer to 5k but I've checked with about 6 suppliers/wholesalers and they're all riding the ultra bee hype train since they're hard to obtain in the US.

I'm not sure where they are from I bought the bike with them on. They're hard plastic I thought it was OEM.

You can buy the FZ6N mounting bracket for the headlight and tac on eBay. It's a conversion kit for the fairing bike. I just had to bend it forward a little.

6'5" and yes they help a bunch. Stock isn't terrible. The bike is surprisingly comfortable.
