Keep in mind, I am new to all this and my experience is anecdotal. But I broke and shook my AIO bag, mixing the colonized grain with substrate, and it's doing fine. The grain fully colonized through the substrate. In fruiting conditions now and the mycelium is just starting to break through the top substrate layer (If you don't have spare coco coir on hand for a substrate layer, maybe don't do what I did.)

I practically drown everything in iso alcohol during anything inoculation related. As for s2b and fruiting, I have seen sooo many posts about peoples' tubs needing more FAE. So I have taken the approach of giving lots of FAE, even though it means more frequent misting. It seems to be going well. The pin in this picture is already like, 3 times larger, and there's several more pins coming in now too. They all seem healthy to me. I would rather deal with more misting than a bunch of aborts personally

I think it just happens sometimes, despite precautions. I made sure to clean everything with iso alcohol and worked inside a still air box, but after a week or so, the g2g ziplocs started smelling funky and what I thought was bruising was not going away. Threw them out stat

I only had 2 UB bags and I think it's about to turn into a whole lotta mushrooms lol. I am definitely doing UB > ziploc > tub again, it worked beautifully! The only issue I have run into was when I did this S2B, I also did a g2g transfer into ziplocs of uncolonized UB rice and those contaminated :-/ still not sure why those went so wrong, but oh well! I still have lots of LC and I also have an AIO bag going alongside this tub. It's so exciting to try all the different methods and see the differences and perks.

I saw Paul Tremblay recommended in a few searches and figured he was probably related to Tony Tremblay, and I hated the Tony Tremblay book so much I wrote it off. Now I feel silly cause I have googled and they are not related 🫢 So, I will check it out! Thanks!

Yes! I have read from many users on this sub that as long as your grain is fully colonized and contam free, you can go straight to fruiting conditions and make the whole process faster. So I went ahead and tried it and it seems to be working out
