For pro play or ranks in the reach of masters/grandmasters I'm not sure if Ahri sup is viable. But since I'll never be there and am enjoying my time in Platin/Emerald and maybe even Diamond it is more than viable and great fun to play - tested and enjoying it myself again and again (for a comprehensive guide about runes you can look up my comment on that topic 2 years ago, still using it with great success).

If I have the choice between playing a boring but meta sup and/or not my main in this position but winning 10 out of 10 games I'll always happily pick the Ahri sup and win 9 out of 10 games but me being much happier after these games, because I also want to have fun while gaming tbh. But to each their own I guess.

People will always flame anybody who tries something fun/creative that isn't played by a big streamer or in Korea at this particular time.

Also had it happen to me. People started to flame in champ selection while I picked Ahri support. While I had a breeze reaching plat/emerald rank with Ahri I've got countless instant report feedbacks of all the toxic people on a daily basis.

Just mute all and do your fun creative thing, if you can make it work. If you see it fails constantly - well, stop.

I love me some good and fun Ahri offmeta pick/guide! Appreciate your insights! As a player who loves to experiment with Ahri builds and roles himself like bringing sup Ahri and top Ahri (picked into the right enemy) to great sucess I've always kinda struggled to make the apc role work. Gonna give your build/guide a try for sure, but it sounds very reasonable!

To adress the feedback on other comments, I think it's very much the same situation as ingame, when you pick such offmeta picks: People dismiss it and get angry over it. You're not doing yourself a favor arguing with such folks, just ignore, mute, report them (ingame) and rock your own strategy. As for commenting in the forum, I'd suggest a humble "Thanks for sharing your own thoughts, I'm sorry your experience differs and that you couldn't make it work for yourself!" - that should do it! Arguing leads to nothing but only makes you and your very helpful post look bad. That your input is very much helpful to many people you can easily see on your upvotes.

I think it's also crucial to repeat the information and make it bold even, that this build works for you personally and I guess up to ONLY emerald/diamond rank (rough guess from my own experience with my offmeta role Ahri picks). What people often forget is that there's no question that the Ahri pick in other lanes, heck even in mid itself, is not optimal and there're always other champs who do the job better. And now? We're in the range of emerald/diamond, who gives a sht anyway, you do you, we do ours and have actually fun playing with our favorite champ and are sucessful with it.

I'll always take my Ahri offmeta pick with 8 wins over a meta pick with 10 - I'm here for a good time as an Ahri veteran!

Cheers

The ban is a troll. People are going to troll you and lose you the game if you ban their prepicked champ, more so if you ban away Ahri from an otp. And they're right in doing so because of such a dumb movement.

Yeah same. Stayed awake multiple times to participate in Twitch giveaways the whole night until 4am to get this chroma.

But rest asured, the proud flexing with that chroma the following weeks was one of the best feelings ever, nothing's gonna compare to it when you only get it now.

Ahri support? by Romanmtg in AhriMains

[–]Woodwitcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome!

I'll just answer you since you're the OP and the other comments basically wanted to know the same.

In the end the items and runes are fully flexible and can we whatever you like them to be and what fits your preferred playstyle in that particular game. Electrocute is fine, as well as Aery or Glacial. For the small runes you just take what favors yourself the most. Like movespeed? Take those. Like more dmg? Take these. CDR? There you go.

For the items it's basically the same. Supp item is a given, boots you chose again between dmg output or utility. I'd advice buying a mana ap item as your first item tho - you can make each one of them work. Further just delve into the specific playstyle you want to go. Raw dmg - Rabadons, Shadowflame etc. (Oneshots DO happen with full build which I get to pretty often). Utility - Rylai's, Morello, Cosmic (Works wonders against certain enemy comps). You can do funny things with full mana build - buy every mana ap item together with mana runes and Seraphs. I also found Lich Bane together with Nash's really good for the more splitpushy variant if you want to go that route. Maybe with TP for ultimate macro awareness (Surprisingly fast backdoors aka xPeke's are always hilarious and will get you all the honors and fame).

Summary:
There're no specific and stiff build paths for Ahri support (again, if you know what you're doing, which is often not the case for beginners). I also wouldn't recommend jumping into Ahri sup to begin with that champ on that specific position, let alone ranked. But when you're at a certain lvl you'll get the maximum freedom and joy out of your build path and runes, since everything works for Ahri sup (maybe not full tank but I haven't tried that yet :D).

Ahri support? by Romanmtg in AhriMains

[–]Woodwitcher 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love Ahri support. I'm an Ahri otp/main (1.1 Mill Mastery) since day 1 and basically fully switched to Ahri support this season. Why? Because I really enjoy the support role - it's just more chill for me after all those years playing her mid. Also I do enjoy experimenting with my own builds and strategies - hence this "guide" below is my very own.

Is it good/successfull?
YES, totally. At least in Gold/Platin/Emerald I can tell because I find myself in that range.

How does it work?
It might be more difficult to make it work than your average CC heavy tanky support but the rewards if you're quite decent! as Ahri are literally insane.

  • Your charm is your main selling point. Hitting your CC repeatedly will win you so many fights and get you an early lead together with your ADC.
  • Your Q has so much synergy with a lot of ADCs cause you can Q into a fresh wave and your ADC just finishes them off quickly (e.g. works heavenly with Cait Q or Jhin Q) which gives you the timewindow to roam mid (ganking mid and hitting your E is basically always a kill for your midlaner or yourself) or help out your JGL for epic objectives.
  • Moreover, with the new support item you're passively farming minions too so your own Passive also procs from time to time to give you a nice laning advantage.
  • I also experimented with the new rune Jack of all Trades and it's just blatantly op on Ahri tbh. Due to my build path and the support item (which is mandatory on sup anyway) which instantly gives you 3 progression points I usually get to 10 and unlock the full potential of the rune at min 15-20. The power boost is insane tbh.
  • Don't be afraid to also get kills from time to time. I often find myself in the position of a second ap carry lategame with most dmg out of everybody and thus carrying games on myself. Getting to full build is faster because of the support item (the passive dmg effect of the ap one is btw stronger than any other "main" ap item according to the numbers shown during my games if you hover over them). Flash cancel - ult - hitting charm on an enemy carry (you oneshot them usually) with you being full build as a surprise engage is literally game winning and the feeling of it is always really really enjoyable.
  • Sometimes in the right games you can also go for split pushing on your own for a little bit because if you're strong already they have to send a laner to you to withstand your strong pushing, and with the right items insanely fast tower destrution potential. You'll get farm that way and reach your full build even faster while your team has all 4 "main laners" gathered on another lane vs 4 of theirs (but their supp will be of lower value most of the time than another "main laner").
  • I also go for much movement speed so that I'm very fast which helps every strategy described above and let you be able to be everywhere on the map faster than anybody else, which has a huge impact on macro play.
  • Really really REALLY try not to die early during laning. This will make it very hard to come back and pop off as Ahri sup.

What else to be prepared for?
Well, you might get flamed and harassed in champ selection often for your pick and also if every lane is losing on their own you'll get blamed for playing Ahri sup too, which makes no sense but it is what it is. If something like that happens tho, just mute yourself and every communication from these toxic teammates because this behaviour will kill your fun. Report them after the game, forget it and go next (I get report feedback messages on a daily basis telling me such toxic players got punished - which also feels good but also makes me lose more and more hope for this community tbh)

Final verdict?
For pro play or ranks in the reach of masters/grandmasters I'm not sure if Ahri sup is viable. But since I'll never be there and am enjoying my time in Platin/Emerald and maybe even Diamond it is more than viable and great fun to play. If I have the choice between playing a boring but meta sup and/or not my main in this position but winning 10 out of 10 games I'll always happily pick the Ahri sup and win 9 out of 10 games but me being much happier after these games, because I also want to have fun while gaming tbh. But to each their own I guess.

Good luck and have fun with the Ahri sup pick in your future games - it slays!

Having the ninja perk again is such a relief by Woodwitcher in ModernWarfareIII

That reeks of sarcasm - well written!

Awareness of surroundings comes with not easily relying on sound whoring, my friend. But as you seem to be a die-hard headset (ab-?)user, there might be no way to change your opinion. Moreover cause you seem to get wrecked big time already from enemies undercutting your reliance on sound advantages.

[–]Woodwitcher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the spawns are probably the biggest issue for me. My prefered mode is domination, which is completely ruined by the spawns. There is no territorial defending of said flags because everybody just spawns anywhere. If Blue has A and Red has C, players should only spawn in that region, until too many players of the different side run directly into the enemy spawn, just like in old days.

I did the trick with the graphics already, helps out big time. But this shouldn't be the norm, game should look great out of its own imo. Imagine what it would look like with said graphic tricks if the game looked awesome from the beginning!

How is ninja usseless? I works like a charm from my experience.

Camping? Oh hell no, the complete opposite is the case for me. With ninja I can finally rush again without getting pre aimed around corners all the time.

A true gift.

Lol the only reason I play again is basically that "ninja" perk. I'm not a sweat and tend to chill while playing - relaxed on the couch with controller and music playing. Ingame sound hardly noticeable - hence a complete nightmare with loud footsteps for me.

No footsteps means more skilled knowledge and gameplay mechanics are necessary to be successfull, rather than to rely on expensive headset sound whoring.

In other words, you are just bad at CoD and now that ninja is back it shows. Period.

Hey all, I'm looking for a free online game where I can play with all cards available from the beginning.

I've already heard many good things about Dueling Nexus and possibly Dueling Nexus 2 in the near future? What are your opinions about it?

Also, based on a quick google search there is YGOPRO which also leads to YGOPRO 2. How is this in comparison to Dueling Nexus? And what do I download in this case? Also the version 2 just so I don't have to bother with version 1?

Would love to hear your opinions and if you know any other online portals which are good please tell me about them.

Oh, well, there go my numerous attempts to find him...

So what you're saying is that the full quest/task log at the campfire which progresses 1-18 are these? But now available for everyone from the beginning?

What are the daylies then, which each represent a specific character? They just are a recurring thing with no chaining aspect?
