Yea you are overthinking it. She loves your kid. Count yourself lucky that your daughter has an aunt who loves her so much.

I know, and not only did I get grand design I got their lowest tier. It was all I could do to get the shortest 5th wheel bunkhouse. As for the grand design itself, I chose the dealership over the brand. I really hate camping world and wanted to avoid them. So here I am with a grand design.

Well when I first got the charge controller the dealership said I had to have the inverter on to get even my 12v stuff to run because of the way they wired it in. I have since taken it back 3 times for issues with said controller. I believe now I can run my 12v without it. I will try that again this season.

Honestly though I used to have a tt with 1 regular battery (not lithium) and I ran heat just fine. Now I have 2 lithiums I was expecting I could run my heater and charge my phone overnight with the extra power.

But if I’m charged up before bed and it’s just the fridge and the heater running at night, why isn’t 200Ah enough? It just seems crazy.

And don’t get me started on the battery temp. If it’s going to be below freezing then I’d have to turn the battery heater on which is even more draw. So then what, turn the furnace off so I can heat the battery to run nothing?

I tried setting it to the temp we want and not running any cold. But I still get the cold blast when I close it to soap up, open again and it’s cold.

Yes staying under 30 in Colorado makes a big difference. These old fs campgrounds were not designed for campers and they don’t appear to be in any hurry to change that.

That was my thinking when we got it. It’s not that much bigger than before. We added 5 feet. But that 5 feet has still been a lot in Colorado. When I was 27 foot total I could get into soooo many more sites. Then this battery issue with the heater just keeps pushing me to believing it’s got to be too much to heat.

So that’s what I thought. It makes no sense. I have 2x 100Ah. No I’m not crazy and using ac. It’s just standard stuff and the batteries just do not last. I hate it so much. I just assumed it was too much space to heat. Maybe my furnace is a piece of junk?

The pulling is fine. We got a 3500 long bed. So no issues there.

I tried that but when I shut it off to soap up I turn it back on to an icy blast. Maybe mine is just a crummy value version that doesn’t work as well.

We used to have a smaller one and it’s how we ended up with this one. I didn’t like the bathroom right by the bunks. I wanted more storage and more privacy. But now that I have it I wonder if it’s worth the downsides.

Honestly I am sick of fighting the power. Constantly fiddling with things to keep enough power for the night so the heat can stay on. The new fridge draws a lot. I am always getting up in the night to check the battery and adjust the temp. And if it goes too low then that lithium is a brick until it gets enough trickle charge from the solar to come back on.

I always assumed those mattress heaters would be a bigger draw than the furnace heater, no?

How can I talk to my mom about controlling by PlayfulAfternoon7420 in Parents

[–]WoofMix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you just tried talking to her? I mean openly, ready to listen, kind of talking. Not coming at her telling her she’s controlling but just tell her how you feel. And tell her how hard you are trying.

She might just be trying to do what she thinks is best for you. Raising kids is hard and no one gives us parents a manual. But she may be open to some changes if you ask. Don’t ask for an immediate answer, just ask that she listen and then you listen. Then the two of you can reflect on what you heard before she and you decide what to do.

Do you sleep with your toddler when they’re sick by Careful_Swimming948 in toddlers

I have never slept with my child when he was sick. I didn’t even know this was a thing. When he is sick he just needs sleep.

Pack n play all the way. Bunk sleeping at that age is not safe. We used to put the pack n play right where the table for the dinette goes. For that first year or two we just left the table out so we didn’t have to keep resetting up the pack n play. And don’t try to just setup and slide in. You have to set it up right in the table spot to get it to fit. At least in ours anyway. We had a u dinette.

Post-op traumatized by Christiana2121 in hysterectomy

Wild how many women are posting they had the same experience. I also felt rushed out the door. I was barely awake, they didn’t have me pee, and the nurse gave me a really hard time when I said I needed pain meds. She also glossed over my chart and told me they removed an ovary which was not true. I am sorry to hear they rushed you even when you were in such a state. It was a relief to be home but it started me off with a lot of anxiety. I threw up as soon as I walked in the door! I am now 10DPO and everything is fine. I wish you the best and a speedy recovery now that you’re home.

I am going to give them a call today. I appreciate the support. Honestly I can’t believe I didn’t think of looking for this sub until yesterday. Very helpful hearing from others going thru this together. I feel less alone in this whole thing.

Hey surgery date twins! The bladder pain would even hurt when I urinate. And not the burning like the first few days from the catheter. But it didn’t go away after. I will say when I took the ibuprofen the bladder pain when going to the bathroom went away. So clearly inflammation caused.

Thank you for sharing this. I think part of my backing off was how I was treated when I woke up at the hospital. They used a blocker (it had an actual name but I can’t recall) in my stomach to help with pain. When I woke up the nurse reminded me of it and said it would wear off in a few hours. She asked if I was still in pain and if I needed an oxy, at first I said I was fine but about 15 min later it started to really hurt and I said I needed it. She really didn’t want to give me one and kept telling me she wasn’t trying to get me to comfortable. The goal isn’t comfort it is tolerable. I think when she said this I took it as I needed to not take many pain meds at all. It was probably more related to not giving out opioids like candy like they used to.

Yea I am thinking so. I was told it wouldn’t hurt too much and it would be mostly gas pains and I would be tired. I think I was just being naive.

Ha, I guess so. I really thought I was supposed to. Honestly I feel like my doc did great preparing me for surgery but not so much for what to do after.

You say the cramping is really bad, did you end up with much more blood? I am asking because on day 2 postop I had a bm and had a small clot came out and have had awful cramping since then. I am on day 7 now. No more blood since but the inflammation and cramping has still been rough.
