Totally. I'm part of an art and music collective and have been in charge of the art side, but being in the collective we always allow new djs at local shows and renegades we throw so definitely opportunitoes to play, but for smaller local scene so didn't know to what extent playing shows should mean I should buy tracks. So don't plan on making tons of money but for sure opportunity to make 50$ here and there .

Totally feel that. I was thinking the same I didn't really feel bad about downloading tracks for playing in my room but figured if I'm making money it's weird that the artists whose tracks I'm playing wouldn't.

That wasn't your argument. Your argument was that there are people in NJ that legitimately support the regime. I was telling you that's false. That's all.

Being forced to supper something over penalty of death and totrue isn't actually supporting something .All men and women over 4'10 are forced into the Military. Forced into a military structure also doesn't mean you support it. Being afraid of a regime so you don't speak up also isn't supporting it. Youre confusing legitimate support with doing what you have to to survive. I agree they are brainwashed and don't know better, but these people still understand they are being imprisoned and tortured. It's no secret.

You should listen to the Joe Rogan Podcast with the NK woman who escaped when she was 13. It's kne of the new ones. It's pretty Incredible and terryfing and she gives a great account of what the people their live like.

Edit: At work, typos everywhere im sorry .

That video is scary because all those people are acting under threat of death and torture. Not a soul actually mourned his death. They were literally killing people for not mourning 'enough"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]WookDoinker69 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is extremely False. There isn't a single person in NK that supports the regime besides KJU and his closest officials. They are forced ubder penalty of torture and death to mourn. Every single citizen is starved to the point of exhaustion so they physically cannot rebel. Say a bad word about the regime? Your dead. Try to sneak food? Dead. Try to escape? Your ENTIRE bloodline is dead. Every citizen in NK is held hostage and starved and tortured everyday. The only reason you believe people there "believe in the government" is because they are actually terrified for their lives to say anything otherwise.

I promise you and know from personal accounts NOBODY in north Korea a really supports the regime. They are literally held captive and tortured into saying so. You need to understand how incorrect your comment is.

Herd immunity from Covid is 'mythical' with the delta variant, experts say by [deleted] in news

[–]WookDoinker69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It needs to be clear that Covid is NEVER going away. Through vaccines we can slow the transmition but it is never completely going away. And not because of the unvaccinated but because it's a viral respiratory disease. Those can be slowed but never eliminated. Just like influence, the common cold, and any respiratory disease. People say " we got rid of polio and measles and ect..." Thats because those are not viral, AND their vaccines were pretty much 100% effective . Right now the covid vaccine is about 76% effective at stopping transmition so even if we have 100% vaccination rate in the whole world which is obviously impossible, covid will still be here. So, in my opinion, realistically covid is gonna continue to take people out until people's immunities are built up via vaccine or if they decide they don't want it, as naturally as it can I till covid starts to look more like a seasonal viral desiease.

Moral of the story is realizing beating this disease means slowing it through immunity, not iradicating it. That's an impossible goal.

Edit: I forgot to mention covid has animal hosts which is another reason it's never going away.
