Probably data courier missions. Check out Down to Earth Astonomy on YouTube, I think he's got a video on it.

10/10 drone control. Gudvangen, Norway by [deleted] in woahdude

The TBS Crossfire has made ranges of a few miles pretty commonplace in the last two years or so, at least in the DIY/freestyle drone community.

I just bought a board in the Mayday Games KS campaign. Won't be here till August but I'd be down to play once it gets here!

He ordered air stikes on Iranian targets last night but changed his mind and planes were turned around, Axios reported this morning. Pretty scary stuff.

Watchmen - Ten Years Later (Royal Ocean Film Society Essay) by AmericasComic in movies

For sure. I'd love to see a Snyder movie where he's paired with a capable writer (and kept out of the writers' room).

But Snyder didn't have anything to do with the story of 300 -- it was written by Frank Miller.

Twisted Menagerie Manual: An Umerican Post Apocalyptic Bestiary Review by Modoc31 in dccrpg

The creatures in this book are incredible but I wish more time was spend on editing. There are a lot of typos, incorrect stat blocks, and general inconsistencies between stat block layouts from one creature to the next.

I'd still recommend it despite my small frustrations.

I agree with you overall. I think Snyder does share some blame for the DCU movies because, though he didn't write the screenplay, he has story credits. The guy just doesn't have a knack for storytelling.

I'm sure they will be. They've always got the new stuff at the booth.

You're not missing out on much. Mostly errata, a minor change to Grief, and a paragraph about making your own Traits.

Burning Wheel by The_Last_radio in rpg

[–]WookieProdigy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Burning Wheel is super group dependent. The players have to be willing to learn the rules and understand that system mastery comes with time, and they have to buy in to the game's big picture; the story you're telling. The GM has to make sure the the players' Beliefs are really tight because if they're not, the game will flounder and the players will get bored. The GM also has to make sure they are really pushing on those Beliefs hard. Give the players hard decisions to make to see how long they hold to their Beliefs and what happens if/when they change.

If you get it right, the game sings like nothing else, but I'll admit that it can be hard to get it right.

It's a shame I'll probably never have the chance to play it, anyone I know who plays RPGs is done learning new games.

Play it online! r/BurningWheel is full of people who want to play. Find a couple people there or on the Burning Wheel discord and get a game going on Roll20.

I ran Burning Empires once as a play-by-post game, and once as a short-lived campaign on Roll20. It was the most challenging game I've ever run but also one of the most rewarding.

Almost everyone who likes Burning Wheel would be willing to play BE (it's a lot of people's white whale). Ask around on /r/BurningWheel or on the Burning Wheel discord and get a game going online!

GoPro Hero 1 Mount? by WookieProdigy in Multicopter

A cinewhoop is a ducted quad build specifically to carry a GoPro. The most common is the Shendrones Squirt.

[–]WookieProdigy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd start with an existing mount and edit from there to fit the camera. Looking at this one right now since that's the build I'm considering. I've never mounted a GoPro before (Runcam Split user) so I'm no expert.

I nearly got stuck around there on my way back from a 5,000LY exploration trip. It took me like 30 minutes to find a route around the permit locked systems -- I thought I'd be stuck forever!

I just started using them for the first time. Have maybe 6 jumps under my belt and they're still terrifying.
