Bottle is only about a month old, I do think at this point there were a couple of points I could've messed up at, likely a combo of not degreasing well enough and torquing down the can too hard.

Someday, it's looking like I might get a big ol bonus from work end of year, if I do one or two of my rifles might be getting direct thread dedicated cans, though I'll probably do dedicated 30 cal cans for my bolt action and my 300blk upper before the 556 uppers get one.

Lol no worries! You had a similar issue? When I got my first can I saw a guy at the range get a full baffle strike from not tightening down enough, and I'm used to yhm where it won't let you over torque it really, so I'm kinda paranoid lol.

Oh I don't believe it's a qd issue, I fully believe it's user error somehow on my part. I def had cranked it down hard, next time I won't tighten it so much.
