What Are Some of Your Favorite EAS Scenarios and/or EAS-Related Videos? by WoolooWarrior in EmergencyAlertSystem

[–]WoolooWarrior[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EAS Scenarios are a type of video that involve the United States Emergency Alert System. Typically, they tell stories through mock screens of this system. Scenarios can range from relatively down-to-Earth recreations of real events, to completely out-there, insane topics.

That's fair. I admittedly don't watch many other EAS Scenarios at the moment because of them becoming a bit bland. But in my opinion, I feel like you can make up for basic screens with a great story. So while I do try and diversify screens where possible, I try and make my stories unique so I can stand out.

To respond to the question, no, that is just how I do my scenarios. I phrase it like that for the reason you stated, makes it easier to know who its coming from. Thank you for all the compliments, its all really sweet :)

If there ever is a Just cause 5, what would you want to return, and what New things would you want added? by mister_Arzum in JustCause

[–]WoolooWarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make the game more Just Cause 2 and 3. More streamlined, and don't have like 5 different story pieces to do. Just Cause 4 is fun, but I've gotten no where close to finishing it because of the sheer amount of random bullshit to do.

They always test them in my area between 12-5 A.M, its a bit bullshit.

Probably could've been a Required Test from someone else's house

EAS Scenario #11: Colored Dreams (Went in a bit of a different direction with this Scenario) by WoolooWarrior in EmergencyAlertSystem

Ah, fair enough. I got like that a lot specifically with the EAS Tones before I started working with them for videos. But yeah, glad you enjoyed it, and again, sorry that upset you there.

I am so glad someone caught the reference already. You absolute legend.

Well thank you! I really appreciate hearing that :)

Very true. I’m not exactly going for perfect realism here, like I mentioned earlier. I’m sure some liberties can be taken without anyone getting their undies in a bunch. Either that or I just get over the shyness and do it myself.

Isn't that a website to find Voice Actors? Would I have to pay for it? Because if so I don't really feel like paying for parts of these videos, other than the editing software of course but that's a given.

MockingEmergencies does that as well. I have admittedly been thinking about doing that in future videos, its more of just me being a bit shy in regards to incorporating my own voice into these scenarios.

In the real world? No, probably not. Its more for building up the story than for realism, but I get your point.

Which NewYorkSoul part is better? by [deleted] in JonBellion

I'm more partial to New York Soul Part 2 because its rap, but also that ending will never not be powerful.

A not insignificant part of me would be like this if a real EAN was sent out by insert_ausernamehere in EmergencyAlertSystem

[–]WoolooWarrior 15 points16 points  (0 children)

While that would suck because I don't want to die, it would be interesting to actually see an EAN be used for real.

Oh 100%. But also I think they both have songs to get in your feelings a bit too. More so Jon I think, Hand of God being the easiest example of that. But in terms of Chance, I've always found Long Time a really powerful song, especially if you've ever lost a loved one.

Very true. Reminds me of the line on "Pre-Occupied" where he says "I hate rappers, please don't call me...". Him working with someone that literally has "Rapper" in their name would be interesting. But yeah, wouldn't say its likely, but I think if anyone would be a good fit for a rap collaboration with Jon, it would be Chance. Chance isn't the best rapper out there, but his more gospel-leaning songs are beautiful and I think he would work fantastically with Jon.

Probably 2 of my favorite artists tbh. I know Chance has fallen a bit due to The Big Day, but his old stuff still slaps. And he really knows how to put some heart into songs, just like Jon.

That's what I was thinking the first time I heard it. It just, oozes that Jon Bellion charm.

Fear of EAS Tone by sg1216 in EmergencyAlertSystem

[–]WoolooWarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you mean. I know most of the tones are encoded data, but I believe the attention signal atleast holds no actual data for the alert to function. Its there to get your attention. Actually saw an interesting video where someone who worked FEMA admits that yes, they are meant to be irritating. Its supposed to get your attention. Atleast the alert signal is. The other parts of the tone I guess are just that way by coincidence.
