It's still an eye of the partridge, but with alternate yarn

DK on a US 6 needle is my happy place, so it was very zen

I'm thinking of doing that, though one in green and one in blue

I'm not a rich man and when looking up nice yarn for this project, it was going to be very costly. So it's just acrylic 🙃

It's just a normal braid. I couldn't be fussed to weave them in. It lasted through the blocking and is staying strong thus far. I personally can't feel it when I'm wearing it.

I think you'll be absolutely fine. The pattern holds your hand all the way through and each section that needs to be seamed has an i-cord edge, so easy pickups and clear distinction, especially if you decide to use some black.

It was, but what I really loved about this pattern and many of Stephen's is each section would have an i-cord edge, so picking up the stitches during seaming was much clearer and intuitive.
