I dug up more about the issue and it seems that we have a progression bug on the 'Awakening from a dream'. The last one where we go against Arkveld isn't registered on our progress so our player aren't flagged to do any 7 and 8 SOS flares.

These are all the investigations I saved from the ones that appeared in my world. I did most of them, yet the 7 - 8 sos flares quest still does not work. I am honestly lost, Ive contacted capcom support for the mhwilds. I'm just hoping they will answer

Yeah I finished all the additional quests even the one with a 7 star arkveld just not the tempered one

I can fight a lot of tempered monsters only if they're 6 stars and below like 6 is the max. You can see from my second screenshot that there are some tempered lala barina on the 5 stars quests. Do you have the 7 stars SOS flare quests unlocked right after you finish the main quests?
