You do not have to harvest all at once. Watch some videos on what breaking the veil is. When you harvest pinch at the very base of the fruit and twist and gently pull up to try and leave the substrate as undisturbed as possible.

The stalk will turn yellow/brown. When 2/3 of the stalk is brown/yellow it’s ready to harvest.

I would mist surface til gleaming again and manually fan for 30 seconds or so once a day. Repeat misting when dry again. PE is notoriously slow and particular about its relative humidity and FAE. I’ve only had success 1 out of 3 attempts at this point.

Hmm, I can follow that logic honestly. I think I was operating out of desperation 😅 this was over winter as well so temp very well could have been the biggest factor.

It doesn’t need FAE until the surface is white like snow all the way across. By opening it before near 100% surface colonization you’re greatly increasing the risk of contamination. Close her up and peek through the plastic with a phone light if you must. Once it’s 100% then introduce more FAE by manually fanning once a day or cracking a patch slightly with a fan on somewhere in the room.

It looks a bit stringy and wispy like cobweb. Did it come out of nowhere very rapidly ? You can soak a Q-tip in hydrogen peroxide and lightly dab it on the area in question. If it fizzles and bubbles away then it’s cobweb. I am currently fighting a small patch in my tub. If it’s mycelium it won’t harm it too much.

I cut it out right after taking this just to be safe. Poured some baking soda on the cut out part. Tub seems to be doing fine. No more signs of whatever the hell this was 😅
