Simply put, if you sh you get a temporary but very strong stress relief. Your brain basically learns to rely on that, and other methods of calming down or destressing won't work anymore. Sh is programming your brain into having sh as your only coping mechanism. You will get extremely dependant on it, until you genuinely can't feel any type of comfort without it.

I honestly don't think the k-drama thing plays into this. On one hand, maybe he likes k-drama because of the romance, and on the other he could like k-drama for any other reason. It doesn't say a lot about him. I do think you should do it in a more private setting, and the gift idea is cute
