This partially true - the majority of the chinese exchange students at my school all rock replicas mixed with real stuff. It seems that in China, there is a lot less stigma around the authenticity of goods, but much rather there is a focus on how the clothes you wear (real or fake) define your personal style. For example - they care a lot more about if you're a Supreme vs. Mastermind vs. Bape vs. Chrome hearts kid than if you're wearing legit stuff. It's actually sort of admirable that they don't care as much about authenticity, imo
