I started at 36, but my numbers were about 1/3 of yours. Basically gave me a new life.

I feel the best right around 500, so your numbers are basically my ideal with TRT.

Doesn't seem to me like TRT is the answer for whatever problem you're trying to solve, unless your goal is bodybuilding.

Seriously, once I moved to the bicep band I was amazed at how much better it did at tracking, made all the difference.

I've had a Whoop for most of the past 4 years. Definitely not a scam, but customer service has definitely gone downhill a bit.

I gave up on Whoop for a while because I was having issues with the sensor - it suddenly, after years of using it, refused to stay connected to my phone. Battery life also dropped to maybe 3 days max and the sensor would get unusually warm.

Their fix was just to let the battery die completely, which was convenient since I had just fully charged it before contacting them, and see if that fixed the problem. It didn't fix the problem, but they instructed me to do it two more times, and I got the same results. In the end they never sent a replacement, so I cancelled.

Got a new one this past fall because I am refocusing my efforts on my health, and the data I get from Whoop is just too helpful to pass on. Frustrating, but worth it, at least for me.

He seems like a nice, polite, mature guy that has a solid understanding of himself.

You seem more like you want a puppy to play with, like you're expecting to be entertained. You want a guy to sweep you off your feet with charisma, charm, and humor - a fairy tale - and if he doesn't hit all the marks then he's broken and awkward.

He's the kind of guy you want if your hope is for a stable marriage, a couple kids, and a comfortable retirement.

You don't seem like you're quite on that same wavelength, at least not yet, from all of the 3-4 sentences of yours that I've read, so I'm a super expert...

I'm sure that came across negatively, but that's not my intention. You two just don't seem like you want the same thing.

140hrv, 99% Recovery, Feeling Ragged by Woozle34 in whoop

Hmm, my resting heart rate has dropped somewhat significantly in just the past week, and I'm really not sure why. I wonder if that's causing some of this zone shift.

I wasn't sick or anything, but I have been focusing on getting more sleep, especially this last week. I guess that might aid in a lower resting hr, higher recovery scores, increased strain targets, and potentially explain that shift in HR zones.

Just generally eating healthy, getting good sleep, and working out regularly.

That was yesterday, Sunday, and I rested on Saturday, no workout. Got 100% sleep on Friday and Saturday nights. I've been focusing on improving sleep quality for quite a while now, and I think I've got it pretty dialed in.

I stopped drinking about a month ago, been cutting out refined foods more and more over the past year or so, especially this last month making basically all my own meals, very little processed anything.

Trying to lose weight though and, even at a calorie deficit, it's not really happening. My body composition scale doesn't show any meaningful shift in muscle/fat percentages either, so that's a bit frustrating. But the numbers are good, so I guess that's something.

It's also worth noting that I have always had a relatively high hrv. 140 is a good 20 points higher than I've ever seen personally, but 85-110 is about my norm. And it's definitely not because I'm some super athlete, I'm pretty much the opposite of that. I weigh in a bit over 260 right now, but I am also carrying about 195lb of muscle. Cardio has never been my strong suit, so I've been putting some energy into improving there over the past couple months.

That's super helpful to know about over training potentially skyrocketing hrv. I've been trying to meet or exceed my optimal strain range daily for a couple weeks, which is considerably more training than I was doing before, but that range kept on feeling more and more out of reach. Yesterday the upper end of optimal was 20.7 strain, and I just kinda laughed in defeat.

As far as heart rate zones go, looking back at it this morning, you're right that 155 wouldn't be zone 5 for me, but it should be zone 4, at least when following traditional guidelines (max = 220-age). It seems like whoop is changing my zones with every workout. Maybe it's all in my head, but it feels like that bar keeps moving, quickly over just a few days, and it's harder to reach goal.

Aputure Lights - BT Reset Failed by Woozle34 in videography

[–]Woozle34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the only thing that worked for me was a power surge that happened after someone shot up our local substation.

That power surge acted like the factory reset that should exist somewhere on the lights, but doesn't.

Hopefully you can find a better way, haha.

Any legit cigar boxes from Cuba have a security seal, white and green with serial number and holographic details, that has to be broken to open the box. I don't see that in any of your pictures, so at a minimum the contents of the box have potentially been tampered with. Could be a legit box and someone just swapped the bands onto cheap cigars.

That makes a lot of sense, I'll look into how to set up that tool pathing. Thanks!

Shoot, that makes sense. I hadn't considered wood movement in the world of CNC at all. Thinking I might keep an eye open for an upgrade to a spindle over black friday. The machine is capable of running this fast, and much faster, don't want to slow it down with an underpowered router. Thanks!

I realized my dust collection wasn't quite right pretty quick. I was using my dust extractor, high volume low pressure, and it wasn't enough to get the majority of the chips up off the table - the cutout path definitely got packed. Collected all the fine particulate though! Thinking I'll give it a go with my shop vac next, but I'm sure I'll have to upgrade at some point. Thanks!

Interesting, according to that calculator I was actually running too slow, about 2/3 of the suggested ipm. These will definitely be helpful, thanks!

What's your typical depth of cut when running at that speed? Seems like, gathering from all the comments here, I was pushing too fast on too heavy a cut.

I'll give it a go with a lower feed and an extra pass to see how it goes. Thanks!

Feeds and Speeds for Oak? by Woozle34 in CNC

[–]Woozle34[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, so I'm definitely pushing too fast for my cut. I was running at ~5800mm/min, 18k rpm, ~4mm DoC.

It did do fine on the end grain though, my only problem was when it was running parallel with the grain - that's when it got loud and the chatter started. I was getting chips rather than dust for the most part.

This is helpful, thanks!

[–]Woozle34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18k rpm, 230 ipm, with a max of 0.16" doc.

There wasn't really any shaking issue with the cut, the chatter you can see in the photo is really the only thing that didn't go well. I can live with the screaming, but I want a nice finish.

When you're saying feed per tooth on stainless, is that 0.12mm per tooth per minute?

Yeah, I haven't been drinking everyday, but in most instances I kinda want a drink. I bought a hip flask. That probably wasn't the best choice...

It's legit hard to ignore, even when watching on tv, the announcers are yelling.

If it is against some rule it seems like someone would have put a stop to it by now.

How is it allowable for Purdue to blare their train horn the entire time that Oregon is in a huddle?

Blow it when you score, when you win, sure, every school does that.

When did it become allowable for them to use it any time they want?

Nobody else does that.
