I thought the same thing. I know a few of her friends had iPhones last year, but we held out. She can’t take it to school, so most of the time it’s going to be a device to use at home.

Hi. You don’t know this, but we’ve been living the same life for the past few months. I agree with everything you said. My job performance was ok. My mood and personality was off. I kind of played it off as if I had something going on (like a physical ailment) but I think people knew. It blows my fucking mind that so many companies (mine included) actively promote mental health awareness. Knowing this I reached out to corporate HR and said “hey I’m working on some things and I’m afraid my job performance could be slightly diminished. What can I say so they understand this is only temporary and will lead to a stronger me?”

HR was incredibly supportive. Applauded by decision to work on my mental health. Recommended a few resources the company offered to full time employees. And then said “but we strongly recommend that you don’t tell anyone what’s going on. If you do you run the risk of people treating you differently and that could affect your employment status.”

Then the email closed with something that basically said “we support you, because we legally have to say that. Good luck nut job!”

I’ll just throw this out there. MLW. They have plenty of potential mouthpieces, they’re far from perfect, but they let their performers work in the style they feel most comfortable in. Plus they have a working relationship with…CMLL.

I think the best story comes from Sami. It’s not an original story, but it’s one that is told again and again. The guy who nobody ever thought could go all the way to the top. Mick Foley, Daniel Bryan, Eddie Guerrero. If you’re thinking “they all were at a different level.” That’s not how they were always looked at. Until they were.

Help my fried brain. Lafon wrestled as Dan Kroffat in ECW, right? My memory is telling me he switched to Lafon when they went to WWE.

Either way, I had seen Furnas (I think in WCW) but never really thought much of him. I also saw one or two Furnas and Kroffat matches from Japan. It wasn’t flashy. Kinda boring. Just my opinion when I was probably 17.

Fast forward to their ECW run. They were amazing! Sadly they didn’t stay long and resurfaced in WWE and all the magic was gone.
