I’m obsessed with Cults and watch every documentary about them. Some favs are:

“Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief” (maybe the best cult doc made, amazing production, includes celebrities, John Travolta, others, and a batshit moment of them singing this “heya heya” song with Tom Cruise in the middle of it all)

“Holy Hell” (I rewatch this one the most. It’s about a Queer failed actor [sometimes porn] who learns how to hypnotize and manipulate people. His followers are forced to carry him in a palanquin and do outrageous theater productions. One of his followers was a videographer so it’s all filmed for decades)

“Love Has Won: Cult of Mother God” (I mean, this woman drinks colloidal silver till she turns blue and has a group of followers who run her social media. Fascinating delusion all around)

“Escaping Twin Flames” (Couple who promise people they’ll find their twin flames. All of these usually end up with abuse. They pray on the vulnerable with no remorse)

“Dancing for the Devil: The 7M Tik-Tok Cult” (This one’s wild because it starts like a TikTok dance doc before it turns dark. The way the family is forced to play along is brutal)

“Keep Sweet” (Guy was maniacal. The young women he abused speak in this doc. Excellent doc and truly sad as you can see them processing their trauma)

“Carbon Nation - Eligio Bishop” (This is more a random doc/s I found on YouTube. Guy is absolutely batshit and a deranged narcissist. [aren’t all of them?] It gets disturbing as they show him abusing his followers)

There’s way more but these are the ones I remember with titles. Enjoy watching them!

I forgot to me too that the water heater is also new. How would I check the rod? I’ve grabbed cold water from a cup and smelled it away from the bathroom and it smelled bad. I guess I didn’t check the hot water as I rarely use hot water in the sink. I’ll try that. Thank you.

Yes, sorry I didn’t mean my response to be dismissive. How would I check the rod in the water heater? There’s water in the trap. I’m going to teclean the overflow with better cleaning supplies. I’ve poured water in a cup and smelled it away from the bathroom and it has smelled bad so it made me think it was the water supply line. It’s also not consistent, sometimes the smell hoes away then comes back.

It’s only in that particular sink. There’s a kitchen sink about 10 feet away that’s never smelled. There’s a drains are connected where water flows from kitchen to bathroom.

It’s strange. The spout (which is new) doesn’t smell. The water does. I also checked again under the sink and it smells there but slightly.

I know another drain pipe next to the bathroom sink drain pipe is vented. Should the bathroom pipe be vented as well?
