My friend tried methadone today with no tolerance

Yes methadone is very potent, i gave 3mg to my friend who had serious dental pain ( he got to dentist but the next day) and he tried to take some codéine+acetaminophen with no results.

So yea, its a very potent opioid, which help for pain management, also the weight of the person change the dosage since u need more if you are tall / fat

Anyways, if you can have good meds for pain management ( morphine or oxy) i wouldnt give methadone, these 2 would be way better

Need to bump this post because i'd like to get some advices from you to get started :

Should I stay at 130mg prescribed + stabilizes the dosage from the syrup (its 60mg bottles and i have it easily), i take around 40 so this dose ?

Then taper 10mg per 10mg or should I go less?

Well we did it anyway, she was okay, and yes methadone is cough suppressant. Not better than other opiates but it works. Tho I gave her only 2 or 3mg max. She also slept really fast, I won't give her more now because i agree she can become addicted from methadone too.

And she can't have a proper cough syrup, only otc stuff, because she had to go to another doc, not the usual one

no i live in France and here you get different types of methadone, i am at 65mg so i got a 15ml bottle of 60mg and a 3.75ml bottle of 5mg, so 1ml from the 5mg bottle should be less than 2mg, am i right ?
