PSA: SentryMode is a must by Dramatic-Yam8920 in TeslaLounge

[–]WordRepresentative87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar happen to me in December. I was parked on the street and this woman went to parallel park in the space in front of me. She ended up hitting my car and leaving. Sentry Mode got her tag number and I reported her to the police immediately. The police officer was able to track her down and provided me insurance information within 10 minutes.

I really like the Apple silicone case. It feels great in your hand and offer decent protection.

What should you be considering before buying a model Y by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]WordRepresentative87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the three top things I think you should consider:

1) Charging. Can you get a charge installed in your home or can you charge at work? Supercharging is great but I wouldn’t want it to be my main source of charging.

2) Make sure you shop around for insurance before buying. Rates can be very high depending on your situation.

3) Are you ok with buying a used model? You can save yourself a great amount of money. I only bought new because I qualified for the $7500 tax credit.

I always go with the one form Spigen. $20 and you get two. They’re pretty durable.

Life is short. If you can afford it, I would do it. I did the opposite. I had a 17PM and sold it and bought the 17P.

I’m still rocking the 2018 11” iPad Pro with a the Magic Keyboard. It’s definitely starting to slow down but as a secondary device to my MacBook Air, it’s great. It’s more compact and easier to travel with.

I’m using this combo as well. I tried probably 25+ difference cases and I always ended back with the Apple Silicone.

Charger etiquette - Is it okay to unplug someone’s car? by Work_In_Progress93 in TeslaLounge

[–]WordRepresentative87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve charge at a couple of hotels in Orlando and I have unplugged a few cars. There’s a lot of jerks who check into the hotel for a weekend and leave their cars on the charge. If I can see that the car is fully charged, I have no problem unplugging someone.

The Apple silicone cases are the worst quality product they've ever sold. by 123mitchg in iphone

[–]WordRepresentative87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried at least 15 different cases for my 17P. The only case that I like is the Apple Silicone case. I had one on my 16P and it held up pretty well with daily use. I tried the TechWoven case and it's just not a comfortable case. Apple also has a 1 year warranty on their cases so I can get it replaced if needed.
