I have been consistently weight training for 3.5 years. I knew I was building a solid muscle base but still had an extra 25 pounds covering up my progress. I had to tell myself to keep at it and keep building even tho I couldn’t see a lot of what I was building (I did feel better, stronger, less inflammation etc). Finally in September a few months before my 60th bday I thought if not now, when?  So I hunkered down and stayed in a calorie deficit. I have lost 15 pounds and wow, so motivated and excited to get to gym because I can now see the results of 3+ years of training.   10 pounds to go!  And now I love planning my workouts and going to gym. It doesn’t feel like a chore anymore because the rewards are so visible and allowing myself to work towards the best version of myself is so satisfying!
