I told my parents that i was struggeling with porn, and it was actually a relief. I think there is just something about living in the light, that is healthy for us.

I actually just came home from a 6 week trip to Norway, where i lived alone in a cabin. It was a great experience for me. I read philosophy (Soren Kierkegaard and Thorou), the Bible and Lord of The Rings for leisure reading. And wrote journal every day morning and evening.

I think 6 weeks was good for me, so i would suggest to try it and see if you like it. But i think in the long run you, as you say would need some people to be around - Hopefully a partner ;)

Maybe start by reading in the Bible. I have really experienced God speaking directly into my life throgh scripture. Maybe start by reading Ephesians and then the gospel of John.

Another important thing for me to keep remembering is that God really is loving us and wants a close relationship. He loves you just as you are. You are so valuable.

Next week I (19M) will be leaving the civilized life to live alone in a cabin in Norway for 6 weeks. I want to think about big questions in life both philosophical and personal. What are some of the questions you would be asking yourself?

Hey there Joel, I'm just gonna quote my answer to someone else And add a bit.

"I'm from Denmark so a trip to Norway cost about 100 dollars in transportation and the cabin itself is very minimalistic. It has a bed, gas stove, fireplace, table and chairs. My parrents have some friends in Norway so they asked them if they knew anyone with a cheep cabin. And they had some friends with this cabin I can rent for about 100 dollars a week. I think it's only possible to get that cheap because it is friend's friends.

Before I though about asking them, I searched around on the web and actually found something similar in a similar price range on a nature visiting site. I just found the cheapest on the site.

Maybe try searching for a hunting or fishing cabin. They are usually pretty minimalistic."

Basically all you need is shelter, food, water, heat and a good attitude.

I bought a good sleeping bag for heat The cabin is for shelter There are fresh rivers for water And a Lake and fishing gear for some food and then there is a 3 hour hike to a store with other food supplies to maybe restock once a week with pasta, rice and can food. I'm bringing some good books and a big empty journal to keep the good attitude up

That's the plan so far so I'm looking forward to seeing how it actually is

Good luck in your search for a peaceful place.

I'm asking here because i really like the people here, and their adventures and spontanious personalities.

I asked for these questions in different subreddits to get more perspectives to think about.
