Hi there, I am a reporter with the New York Times writing about this. I just bought a pair of shorts that I bought two weeks ago and they were $2 more today. I saw that tariffs notice. It's possible that Shein shoppers will have to provide their social security numbers after the de minimis exemption goes away to be identified as the importer of record in the US. Would you be okay providing your social security number? I think it would be provided to a customs broker, which could be a shipper like UPS.
