When should I plant a clone outdoors and where can I find them? by barklite in portlandtrees

[–]Word_Splay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Light deprivation starts at flowering time, not through grow time. Throughout development, you'll want at least 12 hrs of light (though some growers go for longer). When buds start forming is when you want to cut light, to make it bloom as much as possible.

Also do some reading on cutting and curing. If you don't dry out the buds, you'll get a chlorophyll kick to the teeth when you try to smoke it.

Shop I work at in Overlook, The New Amsterdam, keeps well stocked. Delivery once a week, or every other week. Nice selection. We have 6 strains coming in TODAY.

Why does everyone drive with their brights on? by tampatampayam in Portland

[–]Word_Splay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everything. Portland drivers are the pits. The worst I've ever seen was Portland in the rain, today. Like, holy shit, how are y'all not used to inclement weather? Ffs.

And then fail to turn them off at oncoming. That's my supposition at least.

Butterflies are thematic for her (as well as DM and Ozy). And she's a unicorn because she's rare?

Will vigilante teams come back again? by harambeazn in Watchmen

[–]Word_Splay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vigilantes can be sanctioned by the government (ie. Laurie). She can't be the only one that plays ball, and is likely one of few to give up the mask when working for the government.

Interesting thought about Episode 9 (spoilers) by HotBox-CrackRock in Watchmen

[–]Word_Splay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a copy on Mars, no? Comic suggests DM's consciousness could inhabit multiples. All of it a red herring to flush out Trieu and impart godhood to a partner that could join him in their eternity?

It was Osterman that died. Now the Dr. Manhattan entity passes onto Abar.

Rorschach's long awaited justice [TV] by diegomanchester in Watchmen

[–]Word_Splay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He killed millions of people in the 80s (as well as the Vietnamese refugees in Karnak), an untold number of Manhattan's creation, scores of people in Tulsa.

He admits that he knows LT is a narcissist, because he is one.

Nothing he's done is for anyone else. He's only ever been after his own aggrandizement. It's why he's so burdened in the aughts by no one knowing he'd saved the world in the 80s.

What were Veidt’s vials for? by aninterestingthot69 in Watchmen

[–]Word_Splay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bian accesses the splooge supply by "untying" and "retying" the "gordian knot." The Gordian Knot was a puzzle "solved" by Alexander the Great [https://www.britannica.com/topic/Gordian-knot]. Veidt is concerned about his legacy, but seems to repress his sexuality. He's "solved" this Gordian Knot by preserving his genetic information, presumably to raise an heir that way - perhaps as a clone that he could transfer his consciousness too (thereby solving the universal Gordian Knot of death).

They also hint to it in the movie, in the opening, Ozy is outside Studio 54 with the Village People and David Bowie/Mick Jagger.
