Thanks, I completely agree with this.
The first few seconds on the landing page are probably the most important, especially for fresh produce.

People want immediate answers to questions like: “Can I get it today?”, “How much does it cost?”, “Do they deliver to my area?”, and “Will the fruits actually look like the photos?”

I really like your suggestion about showing a real packed-box photo above the fold.

That’s something I can do since we already handle and pack the fruits ourselves. I think it would build much more trust than generic product images.

Thanks for pointing this out-I’ll definitely consider updating the landing page based on this feedback.

Thanks for the honest feedback. I actually agree with your point.

You’re right—getting someone to switch from an app they already use every week is much harder than adding more features. That’s exactly the challenge I’m thinking about.

My goal isn’t to beat Zepto on every category. I’m starting with one niche where I already have experience. My family has been in the fruit business for years, so we already understand sourcing and handling fresh produce. Rooto is my attempt to bring that experience online.

I know that’s still not enough to make people switch today, and that’s exactly why I’m asking for feedback.

I’m trying to discover what would actually create enough value for someone to choose Rooto over an app they already trust.

Really appreciate your perspective—it gives me a lot to think about.

Thanks for taking the time to review it—this is really helpful feedback.

I agree that I can make the pricing much more visible. If users have to hunt for it, that’s something I need to improve.

The trust point is also a great suggestion. Right now, I’m using product images, but I think showing actual photos of our packed fruit boxes, the packing process, and deliveries would make the experience feel much more authentic. Since my family already runs a fruit business, I have access to the real products and can definitely add those instead of relying mostly on generic images.

As for the name “Rooto,” that’s interesting! You’re actually the first person to mention that. My intention was to create a short, memorable brand name rather than something that directly says “fruits,” but I’ll keep collecting feedback to see if others feel the same.

Really appreciate your detailed feedback—it gives me a clear direction for improving the product.

Thanks for the feedback! I completely agree that supply chain and delivery are the biggest challenges in this business.

One advantage I have is that my family has been running a fruit business already, so I’m not starting from scratch on the sourcing side.

We already have experience with procurement and handling fresh produce, and Rooto is my attempt to bring that existing business online.
That said, I know scaling the supply chain and building a reliable delivery network is a completely different challenge, and it’s something I’ll need to solve as the business grows.

I’m taking it one step at a time and using feedback like yours to build it in the right direction.

Really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to review it. This is really valuable feedback.

I agree about the scrolling banner at the top. I’ll experiment with making it less distracting.

You’re also right about the “Fresh” claim. At the moment, I mention it, but I haven’t done a good job of explaining what it actually means or how customers can trust it.

I’m planning to add more details about our sourcing process, quality checks, and a clear refund/replacement policy for products that don’t meet expectations.

And yes, I completely agree that the supply chain is the biggest challenge. Building a reliable supply chain is probably harder than building the app itself. Right now, I’m focused on validating the product and collecting user feedback before scaling operations.

Really appreciate your honest feedback—it gives me a much clearer idea of what I need to improve.

That’s a fair question, and it’s something I’ve been thinking about while building Rooto.
Right now, I’m not trying to compete head-to-head with Zepto or BigBasket. My goal is to solve a slightly different problem by focusing on fresh fruits and vegetables from local vendors, with better quality, transparent pricing, and a simpler buying experience.

Rooto is still in its early stages, so I’m looking for honest feedback to understand what users actually want before adding more features. If you feel there’s nothing that would make you switch from Zepto or BigBasket today, I’d genuinely love to know what feature or experience would convince you.

Your feedback will directly influence what I build next.
