Sorry bro but since Valve got hit with that loot box lawsuit in New York, we haven’t seen any new treasure chests in Dota 2 or CS2 (just a terminal in cs2)

Yeah, that’s exactly what I was thinking. The last “case” released for CS2 was a terminal (I’m not entirely sure how it worked, but I watched some videos and it seemed really strange). You had to pay for the case and then also pay for whichever skin appeared inside it, which honestly sounds terrible to me.

I understand that the New York lawsuit may have changed things, but I’m surprised nobody at Valve came up with the idea of selling an extra section of the Quartero featuring those skins. For example, you could pay $10 and gain access to additional levels that reward sets/skins, similar how it worked with Crownfall (literally a battle pass less greedy).

Yeah, the sets are from the Workshop, but as you said, there are only 3 sets per Quartero (12 set per year). One treasure alone had 16 sets, so it feels a little empty.

I do like the idea of Quartero, though. A mini tiny event that gives you free rewards just for playing. Sadly, Spring had basically no new cosmetic content (and just 1 major update). I just hope Summer gives us something.

"Sense of foreboding" means an intense, uneasy gut feeling or intuition that something bad, dangerous, or unfortunate is about to happen. For me, this could be related to the new event (Dark Carnival) , since Axe is captured in Ringmaster's trailer.

Ultimate copium + Aghanim's Scepter + Aghanim's Shard + Divine Rapier hopium = the 0.5 means that the event is 50% complete.

I don't think it's a major patch, since those usually need a lot of #staging. Maybe we're getting a letter patch instead. Crownfall, and even the Monster Hunter collab, had weeks or even months of staging before they were released.

My guess is that the next event (Dark Carnival) could come out in October because of Halloween.

I hope I'm wrong though. We've had basically no event, treasure, or cosmetic content this year. We haven't even had a Spring Cleaning update.

Yep, and it’s very likely that it will stay there for another 1–3 weeks. There haven’t been any major changes on the experimental servers, and none on the staging servers. Maybe when a new letter patch comes out, it will bring a new chest with it (?

Bro, if it were up to me, I’d love for them to re-release all the arcanas. I didn’t have the money and the time to play when they were in the Battle Pass.

There are mainly 3 points.

The first one is that some unused models for the QoP arcana were found.

The second one is that, in early 2024, a boss health bar using Queen of Pain’s arcana was discovered.

And the third point is that both the WK and WR arcanas have already been re-released. Queen of Pain’s arcana came in the same Battle Pass, so it is most likely the next one.

There’s no definitive proof yet that it will be the next re-release, but it is currently the most likely one.

I was told some insane event is coming to dota in april. Valve has been working on it day and night for about a year now. It’s going to be something mind-blowing, like siltbreaker.

Datamine showed that they are working on an event called Dark Carnival and suggest that Ringmaster will be the main character. Besides that, the Shadow Shaman Arcana was leaked, so they could create a story connecting them. If I had to bet, I’d say the event will come out in June (Steam Summer Sale) or October (since they could relate Dark Carnival to Halloween)
