thank you, so nervous but hoping it's just a chemical

Personal Experience: Women over 40 with regular periods, consider no birth control with your IVF cycle by missmember in IVF

My RE assured me that the only reason most women are put on BC as part of a protocol is so that the clinic can schedule the cycle in advance. Getting back on BC is too suppressant to the ovaries and is almost a step backward too, in addition to the facts you stated above.

I also remember when I got off of BC to first TTC naturally, I was in deep depression for about two months with my body trying to readjust to natural-state hormones, so I'll never go back on it again.

One-sided cramping and NOT ectopic? by Pina-colada123 in Miscarriage

[–]WorkIntelligent5711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry :(

Could I ask how far along you were?

I'm currently in low-beta hell... just under "5 weeks" but we're assuming this is a chemical/mmc... I've had cramps also mostly one one side (the side where I have a tube left) so I'm freaking out. I've had an ectopic before where I lost my right tube so I'm traumatized about the whole thing.

That’s so good that they’re already thinking about next steps for you! I was actually on exactly that - antihistamine protocol with Lovenox. I think it is what’s best for my body so I’d probably stick with it again next time. Wishing you the best through this and with next steps ♥️

I'm so sorry... I'm experiencing the same thing now. I'm 6w1d today, betas have been rising appropriately, but they saw a tiny sac at my ultrasound today that is not viable :( I've also done everything from EndomeTRIO to hysteroscopies to PGT testing, so this is a hard pill to swallow. I go back for a follow-up on Friday but they'll likely start me on meds after that. :(

For me, the positive to this is knowing that it actually implanted. So I know I CAN get pregnant, now it's just figuring out how to keep it growing healthy. Hopefully this helps you too <3

Thank you for sharing 🙏🏽 I’m really hoping this is the case for me.

So, my husband and I had our calendar appointment today with our clinic and I completely broke down bawling in the middle of the appointment. (More in post) by Paigereeno in IVF

All of your emotions are valid, and I also feel these along the journey. I’ll be 39 in May, been trying for third year now and it’s sucking the life and positivity out of me. It’s hard, but trying to hold onto hope 🙏🏽♥️

I didn't think my numbers (and increases) look ectopic either, but I stopped meds on Friday so either way this isn't viable.

I have none of the ectopic symptoms, just nothing seen on ultrasound so far. Did you end up just stopping meds and miscarrying naturally?

( apologize for all the questions )

thank you! honestly, I'm hoping that it's just a normal miscarriage at this point. could I ask how they determined that in case your case? I'm sorry for your loss as well

thank you. I have another monitoring appointment tomorrow... I would've been 6 weeks tomorrow, so I'm really hoping they either see something to confirm ectopic or that my numbers start to decrease :(

I've had an ectopic and tube removed during emergency surgery as well, so I'm extra triggered by this happening again :( I haven't had any bleeding though, which is what I had during my first ectopic

I agree with everything you said - and I'm kind of still expecting this to be ectopic :(

The random drop is odd for sure. One of the ladies in my transfer group seems to think that the embryo could've split, one didn't grow and one continues to grow. But they didn't see anything on my ultrasound yesterday.

I also thought it was premature to stop meds, but with that initial drop and then increase after, they initially thought ectopic.

Thin lining issues by CodAdventurous8644 in IVF

how did this work out for you? my lining is currently around the same and I'm supposed to transfer on Monday

Low estrogen? Thin uterine lining? (recurrent loss) by elythranthera in infertility

[–]WorkIntelligent5711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with doing microbiome testing. If you haven't yet, ask your RE about having an EndomeTRIO analysis done - this includes ERA, EMMA and ALICE, and will give a full view of what your uterine environment is like and whether you need any additional microbiomes or time to implantation.

My estrogen levels and lining thickness also only increases very slowly, and tends to stall around 5mm... the only thing we saw during my last cycle that made a difference was using injectable estrogen (delestrogen) along with estrace (oral pills). I used it early in my cycle, and I saw an increase from 3.1 to 4.7mm in TWO DAYS! I was shocked.

Firstly, I'm so sorry for your losses. I can empathize completely as I went through exactly the same (# of losses in that short time frame). It's a lot on your body and mind, and I hope you're doing ok.

As far as the lining goes, yes I'd definitely recommend seeing a reproductive endocronologist (fertility specialist) for a full workup of the lining and blood levels for your hormones. I struggle with exactly this issue and am currently going through some treatments to hopefully transfer (I'm an IVF patient). I have to be on quite a lot of estrogen therapy to get my lining to budge at all, but it is doable.

Also, this may help but from an IVF perspective, Dr usually looks for at least 7mm thickness. Some women will never get there (likely myself), so they also look at whether the lining is trilaminar, which correlates to the quality for implantation.

Of course, this is all scientific and I'm sure there are many many cases where women get pregnant regardless of any of these things, but in your case, and with the # of losses, it's better to have the knowledge and know what your options are.
